New Ryanair routes from Luton and Stockholm
Ryanair have put five new winter routes on sale, which will begin flying at the end of October 2008. These include a new route from their London (Luton) base to Biarritz, and flights from Stockholm (Skavsta) to the Polish cities of Krakow, Lodz and Wroclaw as well as the Czech capital, Prague.

Massive additions to Ryanair winter flight schedule
Although Ryanair have made it known that they intend to ground some of their fleet this winter due to the high cost of oil, they have just announced details of 40 new routes that they will begin flying this winter. The new routes begin from the end of October 2008, and include:
- Bremen to Fuerteventura, Gothenburg (Saeve), Marrakech and Tenerife (Sur)
- Bournemouth to Milan (Orio al Serio) and Paris (Orly)
- Bristol to Gdansk, Marrakech and Szczecin
- Brussels (Charleroi) to Fez, Gdansk, Manchester, Marrakech, Riga, Tangier and Wroclaw
- Frankfurt (Hahn) to Birmingham, Klagenfurt and Prague
- Glasgow (Prestwick) to Faro, Malaga and Tenerife (Sur)
- London (Luton) to Beziers, Derry, Kaunas, Rzeszow, Szczecin and Trapani
- Madrid to London (Stansted) and Milan (Orio al Serio)
- Marseille to Agadir, Brest, Lille, Nador and Tangier
- Milan (Orio al Serio) to Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bournemouth, Brindisi, Fez, Ibiza and Madrid

Ryanair to open 27th base at Edinburgh
Ryanair will make Edinburgh their 27th base this year. They will add twice weekly flights from Edinburgh to Weeze from June 2008. In September, they will also launch flights to Billund, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bournemouth, Bratislava, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Palma, Stockholm (Skavsta) and Wroclaw.

Bournemouth to become Ryanair’s 24th base
Ryanair today announced that they would make Bournemouth their 24th base. From April 2008 they will base one aircraft at Bournemouth that will be use to service five new routes. These new routes include flights to Malaga, Murcia, Palma, Nantes and Wroclaw.

New Centralwings routes from Gdansk and Wroclaw
centralwings will launch three new routes from Gdansk next year, including flights from Gdansk to Manchester, Girona and Amsterdam. These flights will begin on 01 April 2008. They will also launch flights between Wroclaw and Rome (Ciampino) at the end of March. All of these are available to book now at www.centralwings.com.

Volareweb adds flights from Milan
Volareweb will begin flying from Milan (Malpensa) this winter with ten new routes, adding to their operation at Milan (Linate). From the end of October 2007 they will begin flying from Milan (Malpensa) to Alghero, Cagliari, Helsinki, Lodz, Maastricht, Manchester, Oporto, Pescara, Rotterdam and Wroclaw.

Wizz Air to launch new British connections to Wroclaw
From 31 January 2008, Wizz Air will begin flying from both Doncaster and London (Luton) to the Polish city of Wroclaw.

Ryanair makes Bristol their 20th base
Today, Ryanair announced that Bristol would become their 20th European base. They announced 13 new routes from their airport, which will begin from November 2007. These include flights from Bristol to Bratislava, Riga, Katowice, Rzeszow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Budapest, Salzburg, Oporto, Knock, Milan (Orio al Serio) and Dinard. This move may surprise some, given that Bristol is a well established easyJet base, and has been for many years.
Ryanair had also announced a new route from Bristol to Derry, but the future of Derry became uncertain today when it had its license to operate flights revoked by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. All flights to Derry are suspended with immediate effect.

Ryanair expansion at Girona
Ryanair have announced the launch of eight new routes from their Girona base this winter. These include flights from Girona to Billund, Bratislava, Fez, Marrakech, Graz, Hamburg (Luebeck), Malta and Wroclaw. The launch of these flights will be staggered during October and November.

Ryanair adds 2 new routes from Milan
Ryanair will launch a further 2 routes from their Milan (Orio al Serio) base from 31 October 2006. They will begin flying to Granada in Spain and to Wroclaw in Poland.

Centralwings winter schedule on sale including new routes
centralwings, the low-cost airline owned by Polish state airline LOT, have put their winter 2006/07 schedule on sale. This includes many new routes, such as flights from their Warsaw base to London (Stansted), Lille and Grenoble. They heavily upgrade the routes from their Wroclaw base, including flights to London (Gatwick), Cologne-Bonn, Cork and Rome (Ciampino). They will also launch routes between Krakow and Cork, Gdansk and Shannon.
With many of these new routes being to Irish airports, one wonders whether centralwings is attempting to challenge Ryanair.

Polish expansion for Norwegian
Norwegian Air Shuttle will expand their operation in Poland by launching 7 new routes from 15 September 2006. They will begin flying from Warsaw to Dublin, Stockholm (Arlanda), Rome (Ciampino), Milan (Malpensa) and Athens. They will also begin flying to Stockholm (Arlanda) from Krakow and Wroclaw.

Fly between Warsaw and Wroclaw with Centralwings
centralwings will begin flying between the Polish cities of Warsaw and Wroclaw from 26 May 2006. They will fly 3 times per week.

Ryanair expands outside Europe from Frankfurt
Ryanair have announced a major expansion from their Frankfurt (Hahn) base. This will include 9 new routes, starting from 25 October 2006.
The new routes will see Ryanair follow rival low-cost airline easyJet into the North African market, as they will begin flying to Morocco. The new routes from Frankfurt (Hahn) include flights to Marrakech and Fez. Additional new routes also includes the Polish cities of Wroclaw and Krakow, Verona (Villafranca) and Trieste in Italy, Granada and Murcia in Spain and also the Lithuanian city of Kaunas.

Ryanair announces major expansion at Liverpool
Liverpool and nearby Manchester continue to grow as hubs for low-cost flying. Today, Ryanair has announced 11 new routes for Liverpool.
The new routes, which span Europe, will begin from the beginning of October 2006.
They include Aberdeen and Inverness in the UK, the Spanish cities of Santander and Santiago de Compostela, expansion into Poland with flights to Wroclaw, Poznan and Krakow. They will begin flying to the Italian cities of Alghero (Sardinia) and Ancona, and also to Kaunas in Lithuania and Tampere in Finland.

Another Polish route from Glasgow with Ryanair
Ryanair will begin flying between their Glasgow (Prestwick) base and Wroclaw from August 2006. This will become the 4th Polish route available from Glasgow (Prestwick).

Ryanair to launch 16 new routes from Dublin
From April 2006, Ryanair will base 5 new aircraft at Dublin airport and will launch 16 new routes. They will also increase flight frequencies on 8 other routes from Dublin.
The new routes from Dublin will include Kaunas, Bratislava, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Malmo, Gothenburg, Venice (Treviso), Milan (Orio al Serio), Salzburg, Oporto, Valencia, Marseille, Nantes, La Rochelle, Hamburg (Luebeck) and Karlsruhe-Baden.
Ryanair will also launch a flight between Dublin and Humberside, which will become the first low-cost route from Humberside airport.

Wizz Air adds Wroclaw to Dortmund
From 01 March 2006, Wizz Air will launch a route between Wroclaw and Dortmund. This flight will operate 5 times per week.

Ryanair announces 15th base at Nottingham East Midlands
Following the announcement yesterday that Ryanair will make Cork their 14th base, they have today announced that East Midlands will be their 15th base. They currently operate 5 routes from East Midlands, and will add a further 10 routes in March 2006, where they will base 2 aircraft.
The new routes will be introduced during the first half of March, and include flights to Berlin (Schoenefeld), Derry, Nimes, Carcassonne, Nantes, Dinard, Limoges, Lodz, Wroclaw and Bergerac.

Centralwings announces new winter routes
Centralwings have put their winter 2005/06 timetable on sale, including 7 new routes.
This includes 4 new routes from Warsaw to Shannon, Edinburgh, Grenoble and Milan (Malpensa).
They will also begin flying to Dublin from Katowice and Wroclaw on 16 December 2005. They will also launch a route from Wroclaw to Milan (Malpensa)

Ryanair announce 4 new routes
Ryanair will launch 4 new routes next year. From London (Gatwick) they will launch a new route to Knock on 19 January.
They will also begin 3 new routes from London (Stansted) including Brno in Czech Republic (24 March) and Granada (7 February) in Spain, both of which are new destinations for low-cost airlines in Europe.
They also launch a new route to the Polish city of Wroclaw on 24 March.
