London Gatwick - Weeze with Ryanair

Ryanair will launch a new route from their London (Gatwick) base to Weeze next year. They will begin operating flights on this route from 09 January 2009.

Massive Ryanair expansion from Alghero, Cagliari and Bologna

Ryanair have announced the acquisition of three new aircraft, which they will base at Alghero and Cagliari, to become their 6th and 7th Italian base airports. At the end of March 2009 they will launch new routes including:

They will also launch new routes from their Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) base in December. These will include Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Oslo (Torp), Paris (Beauvais) and Weeze.

Ryanair expands at Weeze

Ryanair will expand their operation at Weeze airport (or Dusseldorf as they like to call it) this winter. From 27 October 2008 they will begin flying from Weeze to Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, Tenerife (Sur), Santander, Faro, Ancona, Oslo (Torp), Gothenburg (Saeve) and Riga.

Ryanair to open 27th base at Edinburgh

Ryanair will make Edinburgh their 27th base this year. They will add twice weekly flights from Edinburgh to Weeze from June 2008. In September, they will also launch flights to Billund, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bournemouth, Bratislava, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Palma, Stockholm (Skavsta) and Wroclaw.

Ryanair launches base at Weeze

Ryanair have announced eight new routes from Weeze (or Dusseldorf Weeze as they like to call it), which they will launch this October. These new routes include flights to Trapani, Milan (Orio al Serio), Valencia, Seville, Malaga, Fuerteventura and Marrakech.

They will also launch flights (four times per week) from Weeze to the Swedish city of Vaxjo. Ryanair will become the first low-cost airline to fly to Vaxjo, and it is anticipated that they may launch further routes to Vaxjo over the coming months.

Expansion across Europe for Ryanair

In addition to their recent announcement to make Weeze their 19th base, Ryanair will launch a further 12 routes over the coming months. These include flights from Liverpool, London (Stansted) and Pisa to Palma and Alicante, Rome (Ciampino) to Zaragoza (Spain), London (Stansted) to Zadar (Croatia), Girona to Maastricht, Dublin to Bremen and Alicante and Frankfurt (Hahn) to Palma.

Weeze airport becomes 19th base for Ryanair

Ryanair will increase their presence at Weeze airport from July 2007. They will make it their 19th European base and add four new routes including flights to Alghero, Palma, Alicante and Venice (Treviso).

Ryanair makes a new base at Shannon

Following recent speculation in the media about Ryanair negotiating particularly cheap landing fees at Shannon, as anticipated, they have today announced it as a new base.

They will launch 9 new routes from 3 May 2005. The new routes announced today include London (Gatwick), London (Luton), East Midlands, Girona, Niederrhein, Hamburg (Luebeck), Milan (Orio al Serio) and Stockholm (Skavsta).

Ryanair expand in Stockholm

Ryanair have announced today that they are expanding their base at Stockholm (Skavsta). From 21 February 2005 they will base 1 new aircraft at the airport and add 3 more routes, bringing the total number of Ryanair routes from Skavsta to 12.

The new routes from Skavsta include Niederrhein, Girona and a short hop across the Baltic sea to Riga.

Ryanair expands Rome base

Ryanair have announced that they are to expand their base at Rome (Ciampino). At present they fly 12 routes from the airport, and over the coming months will add another 5 daily routes to this. On 28 January 2005 they will launch new routes from Ciampino to Niederrhein, Liverpool and Teesside. On 07 February they will also add new routes to Nottingham (East Midlands) and Valencia.

In addition, they are also starting a new route on 08 November 2004 from Girona to Niederrhein.

Ryanair expands at Prestwick

Ryanair have announced that they will begin flying 4 new routes from Glasgow (Prestwick) in the coming months. They currently fly 13 routes from Prestwick, many supported the Scottish Executive’s Route Development Fund, administered by Scottish Enterprise.

The first of the new routes is a link to Niederrhein, which will begin on 8 November 2004. The other 3 new routes will begin from Prestwick on 01 March 2005 , and include Hamburg (Luebeck), Pisa and Murcia.

V-Bird announce new route to Stockholm

From 09 July 2004, V-Bird are flying a new route from Niederrhein to Stockholm (Arlanda). Seats are available now, available until the end of March 2005, along with part of their winter schedule.

Bexx Air replace Niederrhein with Liege

Due to complications regarding landing regulations at Niederrhein, Bexx Air have moved their flights to the Belgian airport of Liege. Their Bourgas to Niederrhein flight due to launch this summer will therefore be replaced by Bourgas to Liege, with Sofia to Niederrhein being replaced by Sofia to Liege.

On 08 July 2004, V-Bird will begin flying from their base at Niederrhein to Prague.

Additional new bexx route

In addition to the new bexx air route to Niederrhein from Bourgas, they will also begin flights from Bourgas to Zweibrucken (Germany), where they will offer an onward coach service to a number of cities.

New bexx air route

bexx air have announced a new route from Niederrhein to the Bulgarian city of Bourgas. Flights begin on 15 July 2004.

V-Bird new routes from Niederrhein

In May, V-Bird will begin flying from Niederrhein to Alicante and Rhodos. Flights will only be once per week to each destination though.
