Meridiana summer flights

Meridiana have a number of new routes launching for the summer season, including some operated by their partner, EuroFly. From June 2008, they will launch flights from Cagliari to Milan (Malpensa), Florence to Olbia, Lamezia-Terme to Verona (Villafranca), Mykonos to Milan (Malpensa) and Verona (Villafranca) and Santorini to Milan (Malpensa). Belle Air - the first Albanian low-cost airline

We have added routes operated by Belle Air, the first Albanian low-cost airline, to our route database. They began flying in November 2006

Belle Air operate flights from a single hub airport - the Albanian capital Tirana. These flights include routes to Athens, Bari, Milan (Orio al Serio), Cuneo, Florence, Bologna (Forli), Genoa, Heraklion, Milan (Malpensa), Parma, Perugia, Pisa, Rome (Fiumicino), Venice (Treviso), Trieste and Verona (Villafranca).

More WindJet routes to Russia

Italian low-cost airline WindJet will launch new routes to Russia at the end of April. From 29 April 2007 they will begin flying from Verona (Villafranca) and Catania to both Moscow (Domodedovo) and St. Petersburg.

11 new routes from Barcelona for clickair

The recently launched Spanish low-cost airline, clickair, has launched an assault on the competition at Barcelona airport. Over the coming months they will launch 11 new routes, including flights to Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Marco Polo), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Pisa, Helsinki, Bucharest (Otopeni), Budapest, Vienna, Jerez and Warsaw.

They will also launch two new routes from Seville to London (Gatwick) and La Coruna.

Bucharest and Malta flights with Meridiana

Meridiana will begin flying from Verona (Villafranca) to Bucharest (Otopeni) on 22 December 2006 and from 2007 they will fly three times per week on this route. They will also begin flying from Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Malta on 25 March 2007. Flights can be booked at www.meridiana.it.

Germanwings summer 2007 schedule on sale

Germanwings have put flights on sale until the end of October 2007. This includes a number of new routes from their Stuttgart, Cologne-Bonn, Berlin (Schoenefeld) and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel) bases. Flights begin from the end of March.

From Cologne-Bonn they will begin flying to Alghero (Sardinia), Zadar (Croatia), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Bucharest (Baneasa) (Romania), Sofia (Bulgaria), Bourgas (Bulgaria), Varna (Bulgaria) and Kavala. From Stuttgart they will begin flying to Bastia (Corsica), from Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel) to Palma and from Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Bourgas (Bulgaria), Verona (Villafranca) (Bulgaria) and Balaton  (Hungary).

Bremen is made Ryanair’s 17th base

Ryanair will make Bremen their 17th European base airport. They will base two aircraft there from April 2007, and will launch nine new routes. The new routes will include flights to London (Stansted), Girona, Murcia, Tampere, Riga, Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Treviso), Pisa and Oslo (Torp).

Ryanair expands outside Europe from Frankfurt

Ryanair have announced a major expansion from their Frankfurt (Hahn) base. This will include 9 new routes, starting from 25 October 2006.

The new routes will see Ryanair follow rival low-cost airline easyJet into the North African market, as they will begin flying to Morocco. The new routes from Frankfurt (Hahn) include flights to Marrakech and Fez. Additional new routes also includes the Polish cities of Wroclaw and Krakow, Verona (Villafranca) and Trieste in Italy, Granada and Murcia in Spain and also the Lithuanian city of Kaunas.

AlpiEagles adds 2 routes to Sardinia

From June 2006, Italian low-cost airline AlpiEagles will begin flying between Verona (Villafranca) and Cagliari, and between Rome (Fiumicino) and Olbia. These routes are in addition to the currently timetabled flights to Sardinia during the summer season.

Germanwings expands further at Stuttgart

Germanwings will launch 6 new routes from Stuttgart at the end of October 2005. They will begin flying to Bologna, Verona, Prague, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Milan (Malpensa) and Dusseldorf.

They will also begin flying a route between Dresden and Hamburg on 27 November.

AlpiEagles add 2 routes

AlpiEagles have made 2 new routes available from their summer timetable, beginning 27 March 2005.

They will fly from Bari to Verona and from Naples to Olbia.

Germanwings announce new route to Verona

On 12 May 2005, Germanwings will launch a new route between Cologne-Bonn and Verona.

On 01 December 2004, WindJet will launch a new route between their base at Catania and Verona.
