Three new Jet2 routes from Edinburgh
Jet2 have put three new routes on sale from their Edinburgh base for summer 2009. These include flights to Venice (Marco Polo), Ibiza and Mahon. The new routes begin on 21 May 2009 and are available to book now at www.jet2.com.

MyAir to fly to Timisoara
Italian low-cost airline MyAir will begin flying to the Romanian city of Timisoara. They will begin flying to Timisoara from their Venice (Marco Polo) and Milan (Orio al Serio) bases from 22 September 2008. Flights on these routes are available to book now at www.myair.com.

New Olbia flights for summer with Meridiana
Italian budget airline Meridiana will launch four new routes to Olbia this summer. From June 2008, they will fly to Olbia from Naples, Turin, Trieste and Venice (Marco Polo). Flights can be booked now at www.meridiana.it.

Summer 08 routes for Norwegian
Norwegian Air Shuttle have put new routes on sale for summer next year, including flights from their Oslo (International) base to Ibiza, Kos, Rhodos, Venice (Marco Polo), the Croatian city of Rijeka and Kirkenes in the far north of Norway.

New MyAir flights from Milan and Bucharest
MyAir will launch two new routes in December 2007, including flights from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Venice (Marco Polo), and Bucharest (Baneasa) to Brussels (International). These flights begin on 03 and 15 December respectively.

easyJet to expand in France
easyJet will expand their operation in France next year, with the announcement that they will open bases at Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Lyon. For the summer 2008 season, they will begin flying from Lyon to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Venice (Marco Polo), Oporto, Lisbon, Casablanca and Marrakech. They will also launch flights from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Biarritz, Oporto, Venice (Marco Polo), Marrakech, Krakow and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel).

Click4Sky - a new European virtual low-cost airline
Click4Sky is a new low-cost airline created by CSA Czech Airlines. Unlike most other low-cost airlines, Click4Sky does not operate any flights - instead it is being used as a marketing brand in order to sell unsold seats on existing CSA flights. In addition, the airline will sell all seats at a fixed price. Customers travelling with Click4Sky will experience exactly the same on-board service as those travelling with CSA.
They will sell tickets on flights to 36 European destinations from their Prague hub. Four new easyJet routes from Belfast
easyJet continue to add new routes from their Belfast (International) base. From the end of October 2007, they will begin flying from Belfast (International) to Venice (Marco Polo), Prague, Gdansk and Barcelona. At the same time, they will also launch flights from their Milan (Malpensa) base to Olbia and Cagliari, and from Glasgow (International) to Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

MyAir to begin flights to Ibiza
MyAir will begin summer flights from their various hub airports to Ibiza this summer. From mid-July 2007, they will begin flying to Ibiza from Bucharest (Baneasa), Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi), Venice (Marco Polo), Bari and Milan (Orio al Serio).

AlpiEagles to fly to Kiev
Italian low-cost airline AlpiEagles will begin flights to Kiev this summer. They will operate a summer service from their Venice (Marco Polo) base beginning on 01 August 2007. This will make them the first low-cost airline to fly to the capital of Ukraine. Later this month they will also launch flights to the Moldovan capital Kishinev.

11 new routes from Barcelona for clickair
The recently launched Spanish low-cost airline, clickair, has launched an assault on the competition at Barcelona airport. Over the coming months they will launch 11 new routes, including flights to Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Marco Polo), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Pisa, Helsinki, Bucharest (Otopeni), Budapest, Vienna, Jerez and Warsaw.
They will also launch two new routes from Seville to London (Gatwick) and La Coruna.

Italian flights to Morocco with MyAir
Italian low-cost airline MyAir will begin flying from their Venice (Marco Polo) base to Marrakech and Casablanca in Morocco from 25 March 2007. They will also launch flights from Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Madrid on the same day. On 28 February 2007 they will also begin flying from Venice (Marco Polo) to Bordeaux and Sofia.

MyAir to expand their network
Italian low-cost airline MyAir will add 10 new routes from their various bases from early next year. From 15 February 2007, they will begin flying from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Bordeaux, Marseille and Tirana, from Venice (Marco Polo) to Marseille and Lille and from Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Bordeaux. From 15 March, they will begin flying from Bari to Bucharest (Baneasa), Genoa, Milan (Malpensa) and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

New flights from Oslo with Norwegian
Norwegian Air Shuttle have put three new routes on sale for next year from their Oslo (International) base. From 14 April 2007 they will begin flying weekly (increasing to twice per week) to Heraklion. Condor added to flycheapo database
Following the announcement that Condor would launch regular and low-cost style flights from Munich, we have added these flights to the route database.
Condor currently fly from Munich to Barcelona, and in April and May will launch flights to Brussels (International), Prague, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Pisa, Turin, Venice (Marco Polo), and Istanbul (Sabiha). These are priced as single tickets.

Wizz Air announce more summer routes
Over the last few days, a number of new Wizz routes have been released. Beginning on 29 March 2005, they will commence flying between Budapest and Venice, Budapest and Katowice, Katowice and Girona, Gdansk and Stockholm (Skavsta) and Katowice and Frankfurt (Hahn).
Later in the season (21 June) they will begin a new route from Budapest to Palma (Mallorca).

The new Italian low-cost start up airline, MyAir, have announced details of 2 new routes to Bucharest from their bases at Venice (Marco Polo) and Milan (Orio al Serio) on their launch date, 17 December 2004.

MyAir - a new budget airline for Italy
On 17 December 2004, MyAir is due to commence flying. They are a new low-cost airline based in Italy who are offering both domestic and international routes.
Initially they will offer routes from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Brindisi, Catania, Naples and Madrid, from Venice to Madrid and Barcelona and from Catania to Madrid.
They are taking bookings now, with lead-in fares of €0.01.

Jet2 makes Manchester a new hub
Jet2, currently based primarily at Leeds (Bradford) have announced they they will expand, using Manchester as their next hub.
They have announced 9 destinations from Manchester which include Budapest (starting 01 December 2004), Murcia, (02 December 2004), Valencia, Nice, Venice, Faro (all starting 19 March 2005),Pisa (26 May 2005), Geneva (18 December 2004) and Malaga (04 February 2004).

easyJet announces Gatwick expansion
While rumour has it BA are going to pull a number of routes from London (Gatwick), easyJet has announced that they are to expand their operation there. They are already scheduled to begin flying to Cologne-Bonn in September. In addition, they have now announced that they will fly to Budapest and increase the frequency of their Madrid flights.
In November, they will begin flying to Rome (Ciampino) and Venice, they will also increase the frequency of their Cologne-Bonn flights.
In February 2005, easyJet are planning to start flying to Murcia, and also increase the frequency of their Geneva flights.

New Volareweb routes to Poland
Volareweb have announced that they are to begin flying to Poland from June 2004. They will code-share their flights with Air Polonia. The routes include Warsaw to Milan (Malpensa), Venice and Rome (Fiumicino). In addition, they will fly from Rome (Fiumicino) to Krakow, adding Krakow to the budget airline map of Europe!
