Massive Ryanair expansion from Alghero, Cagliari and Bologna
Ryanair have announced the acquisition of three new aircraft, which they will base at Alghero and Cagliari, to become their 6th and 7th Italian base airports. At the end of March 2009 they will launch new routes including:
- Alghero to Brussels (Charleroi), Bologna (Forli), Genoa, Oslo (Torp), Paris (Beauvais) and Venice (Treviso).
- Cagliari to Bologna (Forli), Brussels (Charleroi), Cuneo, Edinburgh, Manchester, Genoa, Karlsruhe-Baden, Marseille, Rome (Ciampino), Seville, Trieste, Oslo (Torp), Verona (Brescia) and Weeze.
They will also launch new routes from their Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) base in December. These will include Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Oslo (Torp), Paris (Beauvais) and Weeze.

Vueling to fly Seville to Tenerife
Vueling are due to operate a winter service from Seville to Tenerife (North) this winter. They will fly four times per week from 15 December 2008. Flights can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

Ibiza expansion for Vueling
Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will launch a number of flights to Ibiza from the end of April. On 25 April 2008 they launch flights from Madrid to Ibiza. On 30 May they will begin flying from Ibiza to Bilbao, Milan (Malpensa), Seville, Valencia and Paris (Charles de Gaulle). They will also launch flights from Ibiza to Alicante on 13 June. Ryanair to make base at Reus
Ryanair will make the Reus their 26th European base. They have put four new routes on sale, beginning October 2008, from Reus to Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville and Paris (Beauvais).

Additional Clickair routes from Seville
clickair will launch two new routes from their Seville base to the Canary Islands. From 30 March 2008 they will begin flying from Seville to Tenerife (North) and Las Palmas. At the same time, they will also add flights from Barcelona to Milan (Malpensa).

Various new routes for Vueling
Vueling have put five new routes on sale including Granada to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Rome (Fiumicino) (from the end of October 2007), Seville to Bilbao and Venice (Marco Polo) and from Alicante to Brussels (International). These are all available now at www.vueling.com.

Ryanair launches base at Weeze
Ryanair have announced eight new routes from Weeze (or Dusseldorf Weeze as they like to call it), which they will launch this October. These new routes include flights to Trapani, Milan (Orio al Serio), Valencia, Seville, Malaga, Fuerteventura and Marrakech.
They will also launch flights (four times per week) from Weeze to the Swedish city of Vaxjo. Ryanair will become the first low-cost airline to fly to Vaxjo, and it is anticipated that they may launch further routes to Vaxjo over the coming months.

Vueling announces flights from Paris base
Following the announcement last month that Spanish low-cost airline Vueling would begin flying from Paris (Charles de Gaulle), they have now put three new routes on sale. From 09 April 2007 they will begin flying from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Milan (Malpensa). They will also launch flights to Amsterdam (from 15 May) and Seville (29 June). 11 new routes from Barcelona for clickair
The recently launched Spanish low-cost airline, clickair, has launched an assault on the competition at Barcelona airport. Over the coming months they will launch 11 new routes, including flights to Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Marco Polo), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Pisa, Helsinki, Bucharest (Otopeni), Budapest, Vienna, Jerez and Warsaw.
They will also launch two new routes from Seville to London (Gatwick) and La Coruna.

Clickair to expand flights to London and Barcelona
clickair, the new Spanish low-cost airline, will begin flying to London (Heathrow) on 01 February 2007, and will launch an extensive operation from Barcelona in the first quarter of 2007.
They will fly from London (Heathrow) to Valencia and Seville. From Barcelona they will launch nine new routes, including flights to Malaga, Oporto, Frankfurt (International), Munich, Berlin (Tegel), Basel, Amsterdam, Dublin and Prague. This will come as a major challenge to Vueling, whose main base is at Barcelona.

Clickair to fly to Heathrow
The new low-cost airline partially owned by Spanish flag carrier Iberia, clickair, intend to begin flying to London (Heathrow) from next summer. They have secured landing slots at the airport and it is believed that they will launch new routes to Valencia and Seville. At present, no other low-cost airlines fly to Heathrow.

7 new routes for Ryanair
Ryanair will introduce 7 new routes to their network over the coming months. From the end of October 2006 they will begin flying from London (Luton) and Pisa to Malta, and from Pisa to Billund and Seville. From early November they will fly from Frankfurt (Hahn) to Billund, in December they will begin flights from London (Stansted) to Perugia and in February 2007 they will launch flights between Dublin and Malta. All of these flights are now on sale.
Clickair flights go on sale
clickair, the new Spanish low-cost airline partially owned by Iberia - the national carrier of Spain, have put their first flights on sale. The flights, commencing 01 October 2006, include routes from Barcelona (their primary base) to Seville, Geneva, Zurich, and Lisbon. They will also fly from Seville to Paris (Orly). In November, they will launch flights from Valencia to Paris (Orly) and Rome (Fiumicino).

Major expansion at Dublin for Ryanair
Ryanair will launch 12 new routes from their Dublin base over the coming months, bringing the total number of routes their operate from Dublin to 63. The new routes include flights to Madrid, Vitoria and Seville (Spain), Oslo (Torp) (Norway), Tampere (Finland), Billund (Denmark), Rzeszow (Poland), Friedrichshafen (Germany), Grenoble (France), Bologna (Forli) (Italy) and Pula (Croatia).

Vueling launches online check-in
It is now possible to check-in online for flights with Vueling. It is possible to print your boarding pass, and customers may board without checking in at the airport if they do not have any hold baggage.
It is possible to check-in from 2 days before your flight until 4 hours prior to departure.
This facility is currently available on flights from Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Seville, Palma, Valencia and Malaga.

Ryanair February 2006 expansion
Ryanair will add 6 new routes to their network from 22 February 2006, including Liverpool to Oporto and Seville, Glasgow (Prestwick) to Marseille and Reus, Paris (Beauvis) to Oporto and Frankfurt (Hahn) to Bari.
Flights are already available to book on these new routes.

Ryanair adds routes from Stansted
As expected, Ryanair today announced details of their new routes from London (Stansted). This includes a route to Kaunas, their first Lithuanian route, and the first low-cost connection from outside Scandinavia to Lithuania. Flights will commence on 22 September 2005.
They will also launch 3 new routes to Lodz in Poland (another new Ryanair destination, and a new destination for the European budget route map), Poznan and Grenoble.
Ryanair also announced that they would be increasing frequencies on their routes from Stansted to Derry, Seville, Granada, Riga and Tampere.

EUjet announce new summer routes
EUJet will commence 8 new routes from Kent (Manston) for the summer 2005. From 27 March they will launch new flights to Alicante, Budapest, Belfast (International), Newcastle, Girona and Cologne-Bonn. From 01 May they will launch routes to Seville and Valencia.

Vueling have announced their complete timetable from 01 November 2004. This includes a new route between Valencia and Seville.

Ryanair to expand Milan hub next year
Ryanair have announced that they will expand their hub at Milan (Orio al Serio) next year. They will add 7 new routes, bringing the total number of routes flown from the airport up to 16.
6 of the new routes will commence on 25 February 2005, these include Oslo (Torp), Newcastle, Liverpool, Seville, Zaragoza and Eindhoven. They will also begin a route to Valencia on 19 January 2005.
In addition to their expansion at Milan, it would seem they are due to begin a new route from Frankfurt (Hahn) to Klagenfurt on 01 March 2005.

Ryanair announces 4 new routes
Ryanair have announced that they will begin flying from London (Stansted) to Oporto from 19 January 2005. This will be their first route to Portugal. In addition, they have announced further expansion in Spain with new routes from Stansted to Valencia (commencing 02 November 2004), Almeria (19 January 2005) and Seville (25 February 2005).
It is expected that they will announced a further 4 new routes in western Europe next week.
