Ryanair expands at Weeze
Ryanair will expand their operation at Weeze airport (or Dusseldorf as they like to call it) this winter. From 27 October 2008 they will begin flying from Weeze to Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, Tenerife (Sur), Santander, Faro, Ancona, Oslo (Torp), Gothenburg (Saeve) and Riga.

Ryanair to make base at Reus
Ryanair will make the Reus their 26th European base. They have put four new routes on sale, beginning October 2008, from Reus to Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville and Paris (Beauvais).

New Ryanair routes from Shannon and Dublin
Ryanair have put four new routes on sale, including one from their Shannon base to Alicante, and three routes from Dublin. The new routes from Dublin include flights to Palma and Santander in Spain, and Zadar in Croatia.

Ryanair to expand at Madrid
From the end of October 2007, Ryanair will begin flying six new routes from their Madrid base. This will include flights to Santander, Girona, Cagliari, Alghero, Liverpool and Frankfurt (Hahn).

Ryanair to launch 9 new routes from Milan
Ryanair continues their expansion, as they have announced that they will add nine new routes from their Milan (Orio al Serio) base during December 2007/January 2008. They will begin flying from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Alghero, Bari, Cagliari, Billund, Santander, Oporto, Riga and Gothenburg (Saeve).

Ryanair announces major expansion at Liverpool
Liverpool and nearby Manchester continue to grow as hubs for low-cost flying. Today, Ryanair has announced 11 new routes for Liverpool.
The new routes, which span Europe, will begin from the beginning of October 2006.
They include Aberdeen and Inverness in the UK, the Spanish cities of Santander and Santiago de Compostela, expansion into Poland with flights to Wroclaw, Poznan and Krakow. They will begin flying to the Italian cities of Alghero (Sardinia) and Ancona, and also to Kaunas in Lithuania and Tampere in Finland.

FlyMe launch new domestic routes
FlyMe will launch 2 new routes on 13 February 2005 from their base at Stockholm (Arlanda) to Sundsvall and Ostersund. These will be the first low-cost routes to these airports.

Ryanair becomes the first budget airline to fly to Latvia
Many people have been waiting for Ryanair to announce new routes further east into Europe after an initial early promise to do so by the airline. Today, Ryanair have done just that by announcing new routes to Riga, making them the first budget airline to fly to the recent EU-addition, Latvia, and the first budget airline to fly from the UK to any of the Baltic states.
Ryanair will begin flights to Riga on 31 October from London (Stansted), Frankfurt (Hahn) and Tampere.
In addition, Ryanair have added 2 further destinations to the budget-flying map, Santander and Zaragoza in Spain. They will fly to Zaragoza from London (Stansted) (beginning 01 December 2004) and to Santander from London (Stansted), Rome (Ciampino) and Frankfurt (Hahn) (beginning 20 September 2004).
