Two new Wizz Air routes from Poznan
Central European low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch two new routes from their Poznan base this winter. From mid-December 2008 they are due to launch flights from Poznan to Cork and Rome (Fiumicino).

Milan and Poznan linked by Wizz Air
Central European low-cost airline Wizz Air will begin flying between Poznan and Milan (Orio al Serio) next year. From 12 January 2009 they are scheduled to operate weekly flights on this route.

Wizz Air move airports at Stockholm
Wizz Air will move airport at Stockholm for their route from Poznan. They currently fly from Poznan to Stockholm (Skavsta), but will move this to Stockholm (Vasteras) from 15 May 2008.

Warsaw and Poznan expansion for Centralwings
centralwings have put new routes on sale from their Warsaw and Poznan bases. This includes flights from Warsaw to Catania, Faro, Heraklion, Rhodos, Thessaloniki and Varna, and from Poznan to Palma and Rhodos. These flights will operate during the summer 08 season, and are available to book now at www.centralwings.com.

Ryanair to open 27th base at Edinburgh
Ryanair will make Edinburgh their 27th base this year. They will add twice weekly flights from Edinburgh to Weeze from June 2008. In September, they will also launch flights to Billund, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bournemouth, Bratislava, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Palma, Stockholm (Skavsta) and Wroclaw.

New Centralwings routes to Lisbon and Amsterdam
centralwings will begin flying to Lisbon from their Warsaw base this summer, with flights beginning from 02 April 2008. They will also begin flying to Amsterdam from Poznan at the end of March.

Ryanair to fly from Belfast City
Ryanair have put a number of new routes on sale, including flights from Belfast (City). From the end of October 2007, they will begin flying to Belfast (City) from East Midlands, Liverpool and Glasgow (Prestwick).
They have also put flights on sale from Bristol to Turin, from East Midlands to Grenoble, Poznan, Szczecin and Tenerife (Sur), from Liverpool to Budapest, Bydgoszcz, Fuerteventura, Grenoble, Lodz, Szczecin and Tenerife (Sur), and from Glasgow (Prestwick) to Grenoble, Budapest and Kaunas.

Ryanair route reshuffle
Ryanair will cancel a number of routes, in order to launch some new ones later this year. They have put new routes on sale (beginning 28 October 2007) from Marseille to Marrakech and Fez, Dublin to Stockholm (Skavsta), Bremen to Budapest, London (Stansted) to Billund, Girona to Poznan, Brno and Linz and from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Lamezia-Terme.

Three new low-cost routes from Poznan
Central European low-cost airline centralwings will begin three new routes from Poznan from the end of October 2007. They will begin flying from Poznan to Rome (Ciampino), Paris (Beauvais) and Edinburgh. They are taking bookings for these flights, and other flights from their winter schedule, at www.centralwings.com.

Wizz Air to open base at Poznan
Wizz Air will begin flying four new routes from Poznan from 31 January 2008. This will make Poznan a base, bringing the number of routes they operate there to 7. The new routes will include flights to Doncaster, Glasgow (Prestwick), Malmo and Oslo (Torp).

Ryanair makes Bristol their 20th base
Today, Ryanair announced that Bristol would become their 20th European base. They announced 13 new routes from their airport, which will begin from November 2007. These include flights from Bristol to Bratislava, Riga, Katowice, Rzeszow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Budapest, Salzburg, Oporto, Knock, Milan (Orio al Serio) and Dinard. This move may surprise some, given that Bristol is a well established easyJet base, and has been for many years.
Ryanair had also announced a new route from Bristol to Derry, but the future of Derry became uncertain today when it had its license to operate flights revoked by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. All flights to Derry are suspended with immediate effect.

Ryanair announces major expansion at Liverpool
Liverpool and nearby Manchester continue to grow as hubs for low-cost flying. Today, Ryanair has announced 11 new routes for Liverpool.
The new routes, which span Europe, will begin from the beginning of October 2006.
They include Aberdeen and Inverness in the UK, the Spanish cities of Santander and Santiago de Compostela, expansion into Poland with flights to Wroclaw, Poznan and Krakow. They will begin flying to the Italian cities of Alghero (Sardinia) and Ancona, and also to Kaunas in Lithuania and Tampere in Finland.

Centralwings adds many summer routes
centralwings have announced an additional 21 routes for the upcoming summer 2006 season. They intend to fly most of these routes just once or twice per week. Flights include Warsaw to Lamezia-Terme, Malaga, Corfu, Faro, Heraklion, Chania, Girona, Catania, Rhodos, Palma, Palermo, Thessaloniki and Malta. They will also add routes from Krakow to Heraklion, Malaga and Rhodos.
They will add a couple of routes from Poznan to Heraklion and Palma and from Katowice to Rhodos and Palma.

Ryanair to launch 16 new routes from Dublin
From April 2006, Ryanair will base 5 new aircraft at Dublin airport and will launch 16 new routes. They will also increase flight frequencies on 8 other routes from Dublin.
The new routes from Dublin will include Kaunas, Bratislava, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Malmo, Gothenburg, Venice (Treviso), Milan (Orio al Serio), Salzburg, Oporto, Valencia, Marseille, Nantes, La Rochelle, Hamburg (Luebeck) and Karlsruhe-Baden.
Ryanair will also launch a flight between Dublin and Humberside, which will become the first low-cost route from Humberside airport.

SkyEurope adds Amsterdam to Poznan connection
From 25 March 2006, SkyEurope will launch a route between Amsterdam and Poznan. This will be their first route from Poznan and flights will operate 3 times per week.

Ryanair adds routes from Stansted
As expected, Ryanair today announced details of their new routes from London (Stansted). This includes a route to Kaunas, their first Lithuanian route, and the first low-cost connection from outside Scandinavia to Lithuania. Flights will commence on 22 September 2005.
They will also launch 3 new routes to Lodz in Poland (another new Ryanair destination, and a new destination for the European budget route map), Poznan and Grenoble.
Ryanair also announced that they would be increasing frequencies on their routes from Stansted to Derry, Seville, Granada, Riga and Tampere.

Centralwings launch summer services
Centralwings will launch a number of summer services from Poland to Greece. The flights, operating either weekly or fortnightly, will commence from the end of May 2005 and operate until mid-October.
They will begin services from Warsaw to Crete (Chania) and Thessaloniki. They will also fly to Crete from Poznan and Krakow, and Thessaloniki from Poznan and Katowice.

New London to Poznan connection from Wizz
Wizz Air are due to launch a new route from London (Luton) to Poznan on 18 September 2005. This will be their first route from Poznan.

From 15 June, Air Polonia will begin flying from Brussels (S. Charleroi) to Poznan.
