Prague to Pisa with SkyEurope
Central European low-cost airline Sky Europe will begin flying from their Prague base to Pisa this summer. They will fly twice weekly on this route from 05 May 2008. These flights can be booked at www.skyeurope.com.

New easyJet routes from Bristol
easyJet will add three routes from their Bristol base next year. From 23 April 2008, they will begin flying from Bristol to Split, Biarritz and Olbia. At the same time, they will also launch flights from Edinburgh to Nice and from Glasgow (International) to Faro.
easyJet have also put an additional flight on sale to Pisa from their London (Luton) base. They will begin flying this route from the end of March 2008.

13 new Ryanair routes from Stockholm
Ryanair will increase capacity at their Stockholm (Skavsta) base this October. They will begin flights from Stockholm (Skavsta) to Alicante, Basel, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bratislava, Eindhoven, Karlsruhe-Baden, Liverpool, Malta, Pisa, Oporto, Salzburg (from December 2007), Trapani and Valencia.

Belle Air - the first Albanian low-cost airline
We have added routes operated by Belle Air, the first Albanian low-cost airline, to our route database. They began flying in November 2006
Belle Air operate flights from a single hub airport - the Albanian capital Tirana. These flights include routes to Athens, Bari, Milan (Orio al Serio), Cuneo, Florence, Bologna (Forli), Genoa, Heraklion, Milan (Malpensa), Parma, Perugia, Pisa, Rome (Fiumicino), Venice (Treviso), Trieste and Verona (Villafranca).
New Vueling Italian routes from Madrid
Vueling will begin flying two new routes from their Madrid base to Italy. From 22 June 2007 they will fly from Madrid to Naples and Pisa. These flights can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

Summer routes with Thomsonfly
Thomsonfly will operate a number of new summer routes from the beginning of May 2007. The new flights include:
- Bournemouth to Pisa and Valencia
- Cardiff to Barcelona and Faro
- London (Gatwick) to Corfu and Mahon
- London (Luton) to Corfu
- Manchester to Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mahon and Venice (Marco Polo)
- East Midlands to Ibiza and Mahon

11 new routes from Barcelona for clickair
The recently launched Spanish low-cost airline, clickair, has launched an assault on the competition at Barcelona airport. Over the coming months they will launch 11 new routes, including flights to Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Marco Polo), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Pisa, Helsinki, Bucharest (Otopeni), Budapest, Vienna, Jerez and Warsaw.
They will also launch two new routes from Seville to London (Gatwick) and La Coruna.

Expansion across Europe for Ryanair
In addition to their recent announcement to make Weeze their 19th base, Ryanair will launch a further 12 routes over the coming months. These include flights from Liverpool, London (Stansted) and Pisa to Palma and Alicante, Rome (Ciampino) to Zaragoza (Spain), London (Stansted) to Zadar (Croatia), Girona to Maastricht, Dublin to Bremen and Alicante and Frankfurt (Hahn) to Palma.

Sky Europe have put another new route from their Vienna base on sale. From 27 March 2007 they will fly from Vienna to Pisa.

Six new Ryanair routes across Europe
Ryanair have announced a further six new routes to be launched over the coming months. These include the reinstating of their flights between London (Stansted) and Brussels (Charleroi) (from 01 June 2007), and new routes from Girona to Cagliari, Bremen to Malaga, Valladolid to Milan (Orio al Serio), Pisa to Cagliari and Rome (Ciampino) to Madrid.

Three new routes from easyJet
easyJet have put three new routes on sale including London (Gatwick) to Palermo (starting 18 June 2007) and Pisa (from 03 April), and also from Athens to Paris (Orly) (from 04 May). These flights are available to book from today.

Ryanair expansion at Nottingham East Midlands
From 12 February 2007, Ryanair will expand their operation from East Midlands. During a two week period they will launch 10 new routes. They will begin flying to Inverness, Knock, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela, Granada, Alghero, Milan (Orio al Serio), Pisa, Krakow and Bratislava.

Bremen is made Ryanair’s 17th base
Ryanair will make Bremen their 17th European base airport. They will base two aircraft there from April 2007, and will launch nine new routes. The new routes will include flights to London (Stansted), Girona, Murcia, Tampere, Riga, Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Treviso), Pisa and Oslo (Torp).

7 new routes for Ryanair
Ryanair will introduce 7 new routes to their network over the coming months. From the end of October 2006 they will begin flying from London (Luton) and Pisa to Malta, and from Pisa to Billund and Seville. From early November they will fly from Frankfurt (Hahn) to Billund, in December they will begin flights from London (Stansted) to Perugia and in February 2007 they will launch flights between Dublin and Malta. All of these flights are now on sale.

easyJet and Ryanair to fly to Malta
Earlier this week, the Maltese government finally gave the go-ahead for Ryanair and easyJet to begin flying to Malta. This provides these airlines with considerable subsidies towards the operation of flights to the region.
Ryanair is expected to launch services from their Dublin base from February 2007, and also from London (Luton) and Pisa, possibly as early as October this year. easyJet have not yet confirmed whether they will begin flying to Malta, but their proposed routes are from London (Luton) and Basel.

Ryanair intend to fly to Malta
After considerable delay, it looks like a deal is imminent between Ryanair and the Maltese Government regarding landing fees in Malta. This should see Ryanair fly to Malta from London (Luton), Pisa and Dublin, with flights possibly beginning as early as 31 October 2006. However, the final details are yet to be confirmed and flights are not yet on sale.

Ryanair launches Doncaster to Girona link
In addition to their new route between Doncaster and Pisa announced earlier today, Ryanair will also launch a new route between Doncaster and Girona. They will fly 3-times per week on this new route, from 31 October 2006.
Ryanair adds 6 new routes from Pisa
Ryanair will launch 6 routes from their Pisa base from 14 September 2006. They will begin flying daily to Valencia and Trapani, 4 times per week to Doncaster and Karlsruhe-Baden and 3 times per week to Friedrichshafen and Oslo (Torp).

Condor added to flycheapo database
Following the announcement that Condor would launch regular and low-cost style flights from Munich, we have added these flights to the route database.
Condor currently fly from Munich to Barcelona, and in April and May will launch flights to Brussels (International), Prague, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Pisa, Turin, Venice (Marco Polo), and Istanbul (Sabiha). These are priced as single tickets.

Ryanair will begin flying from Bournemouth to Pisa as of 08 June 2006. This will become their 4th route from Bournemouth, and it will be operated 4 times per week.

helvetic will launch 2 new Italian routes from their Zurich base. From 12 April 2006, they will begin flights to Pisa and from 18 May, they will begin flying to Rimini.

Jet2 will start flying weekly from Edinburgh to Pisa from 22 May 2006 for the summer season.

Jet2 launch Pisa route from Belfast
Jet2 will add to the number of hub airports flying to Pisa when they launch a route from Belfast (International) to Pisa on 26 May 2006. They will operate a weekly flight on this route.
Jet2 will also launch a new route from Leeds (Bradford) to Milan (Bergamo) on 07 April.

Jet2 expand at Newcastle
Jet2 have put 3 new routes on sale today from Newcastle, confirming their intention to make it a hub airport.
From 26 April 2006, they will begin flying daily to Amsterdam. From 22 May they will also commence routes to Menorca and Pisa.

New Italian routes for Jet2
Jet2 will launch 2 new routes from Leeds (Bradford) next year to Rome (Fiumicino) and Pisa. Flights will begin on 07 March 2006 and 25 May respectively. This will bring the number of routes flown by Jet2 from Leeds (Bradford) to 18.

Ryanair makes Pisa new base
Ryanair have announced that they will launch 3 new routes from Pisa during the winter season, bringing the number of routes they fly from the airport to 10. It will become their 14th base in Europe.
The new routes from Pisa include Dublin (daily from 10 October 2005), Eindhoven and Alghero (both daily from 12 January 2006).

easyJet announces 3 new Bristol routes
easyJet have announced that they will launch 3 new routes from Bristol from 7 July 2005. They will begin flying to Murcia, Pisa and Inverness. Tickets are available immediately for these new destinations.

Thomsonfly announces Bournemouth base details
Thomsonfly, who recently announced details of their new base at Doncaster, have unveiled the routes they will fly from their new base at Bournemouth for the summer season next year.
They will begin a total of 7 routes, including Paris (Charles de Gaulles), Malaga, Palma (Mallorca), Faro, Amsterdam, Pisa and Valencia.
Routes will begin from 22 March 2005 and tickets are on sale now.

Thomsonfly announce Doncaster base
Today, Thomsonfly has announced the much awaited details of the routes they will fly from their new base at Doncaster. As with their base at Coventry, they will be the first low-cost airline to fly from Doncaster.
They will fly to Alicante, Malaga, Pisa, Palma (Mallorca), Jersey, Faro, Dublin, Prague, Ibiza and Valencia and Paris (Charles de Gaulles).
Flights from their new base are due to commence on 28 April 2005, with some beginning later in the season. . Tickets are on sale now.

easyJet expands in Italy
easyJet have taken the opportunity today to announce 4 new routes to Italy, presumably following the loss of Volareweb from low-cost Europe.
They will launch 2 new routes from Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Pisa and Olbia, both routes will commence on 08 April 2005. In addition, they will begin a new route from London (Gatwick) to Olbia on 27 May and one from London (Luton) to Cagliari on 21 April.

Ryanair add connection between Pisa and Girona

Ryanair announces new Liverpool base
As anticipated, Ryanair today announced that Liverpool will become their next base. They will add 9 new routes, will bring them up to 13 routes from Liverpool. This move is perhaps surprising as for some time, Liverpool has been a major hub for easyJet and is also served by 7 low-cost airlines.
The new routes include flights to Reus, Cork, Granada, Pisa, Limoges, Murcia, Nimes, Shannon and Venice (Treviso).

Hapag-Lloyd Express announce new routes for 05
Hapag-Lloyd Express have announced a selection of new routes which they will begin flying from 09 March 2005. These include Cologne-Bonn to Shannon, Newcastle and Rijeka in Croatia. They are the first airline to add Rijeka to the ‘European low-fares map’, and will also fly there from Hanover.
From Hanover they will also begin flying new routes to Stockholm (Arlanda) and Pisa. From Munich they will add routes to Newcastle, Palermo and Olbia,
In addition, on 05 December 2004 Hapag-Lloyd Express will begin a new service connecting Hamburg and Edinburgh.

Jet2 makes Manchester a new hub
Jet2, currently based primarily at Leeds (Bradford) have announced they they will expand, using Manchester as their next hub.
They have announced 9 destinations from Manchester which include Budapest (starting 01 December 2004), Murcia, (02 December 2004), Valencia, Nice, Venice, Faro (all starting 19 March 2005),Pisa (26 May 2005), Geneva (18 December 2004) and Malaga (04 February 2004).

Ryanair expands at Prestwick
Ryanair have announced that they will begin flying 4 new routes from Glasgow (Prestwick) in the coming months. They currently fly 13 routes from Prestwick, many supported the Scottish Executive’s Route Development Fund, administered by Scottish Enterprise.
The first of the new routes is a link to Niederrhein, which will begin on 8 November 2004. The other 3 new routes will begin from Prestwick on 01 March 2005 , and include Hamburg (Luebeck), Pisa and Murcia.

JetX - new Italian budget carrier
Europe welcomes yet another new budget airline - the Italian-based carrier, JetX, began flying on 02 July 2004.
They have bases in Pisa, Trieste and Bologna (Forli). They are flying to a range of destinations including Paris (Charles de Gaulles), Athens, Zakinthos, Ibiza and Olbia.
