New Dublin routes for Norwegian

Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch two new routes from Dublin to their bases at Oslo (International) and Copenhagen. The flights will begin from 20 August 2009, and at the same time they will launch some other new routes from Copenhagen to Warsaw and Rome (Fiumicino).

Norwegian to fly to Molde

Norwegian Air Shuttle have put a new flight on sale from their Oslo (International) base to the Norwegian city of Molde. They are scheduled to begin daily flights on this route from 20 August 2009. They can be booked now at www.norwegian.no.

Norwegian launch new routes from Oslo and Copenhagen

Norwegian Air Shuttle have placed new routes on sale from their Oslo (International) and Copenhagen bases. From 19 August 2009 they will begin flying from Oslo (International) to Vienna as well as Haugesund in Norway. They will launch a route from Copenhagen to Vienna at the same time.

Norwegian puts new Southern Europe flights on sale

Norwegian Air Shuttle have put two new summer routes on sale – Copenhagen to Rhodos from the end of June and from Oslo (International) to Olbia from July 2009. They have also put winter flights on sale to Las Palmas from Aalborg and Copenhagen – these begin from the end of October. All of these flights can be booked at www.norwegian.no.

Summer Norwegian routes to Rijeka

Norwegian Air Shuttle will operate flights to Rijeka in Croatia this summer. They will begin flying to Rijeka from Oslo (International) as of 22 June 2009.

Air Berlin will launch two new routes from their Berlin (Tegel) base on 26 April 2009. These include flights to Oslo (International) and Krakow, and are available to book now at www.airberlin.com.

New Norwegian routes from Oslo and Stockholm

Norwegian Air Shuttle have put three new summer routes on sale from their Oslo (International) base. They will begin flying from Oslo (International) to Istanbul (Sabiha) and Venice (Marco Polo) from 23 June 2009. They also begin flying from Oslo (International) to Amsterdam in April, and from Stockholm (Arlanda) to Pula in May.

Norwegian to fly new Spanish and Austrian routes

Norwegian Air Shuttle have put on sale flights from their Oslo (International) base to Barcelona, launching next month (from 27 October 2008). They will also begin flying from Warsaw to Salzburg from January 2009.

New Norwegian routes from Oslo

Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch five new routes from their Oslo bases this winter, with flights beginning from 29 October 2008. The new routes include Oslo (Rygge) to Krakow, Berlin (Schoenefeld) and Prague, and from Oslo (International) to Belgrade and Szczecin.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch routes for summer from their Oslo (International) base to Greece and Cyprus. From 16 June 2008 they will fly to Chania (Crete), and from July they will fly to Larnaca.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying to the small Norwegian town of Bardufoss, situated between Harstad-Narvik and Tromso in the far north. From 01 May they will fly to Bardufoss from their Oslo (International) base.

Summer 08 routes for Norwegian

Norwegian Air Shuttle have put new routes on sale for summer next year, including flights from their Oslo (International) base to Ibiza, Kos, Rhodos, Venice (Marco Polo), the Croatian city of Rijeka and Kirkenes in the far north of Norway.

Summer routes to Iceland

Iceland Express will operate additional summer flights to Icelandic destinations next year. These will include flights from Copenhagen to both Akureyri and Egilsstadir. They will also fly to Reykjavik from Stockholm (Arlanda) and Oslo (International).

All of these flights are scheduled to begin from 15 May 2008.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying from their Oslo (International) base to Malta next year. They will fly twice per week from 05 April 2008. Flights are already available to book at www.norwegian.no.

Click4Sky – a new European virtual low-cost airline

Click4Sky is a new low-cost airline created by CSA Czech Airlines. Unlike most other low-cost airlines, Click4Sky does not operate any flights – instead it is being used as a marketing brand in order to sell unsold seats on existing CSA flights. In addition, the airline will sell all seats at a fixed price. Customers travelling with Click4Sky will experience exactly the same on-board service as those travelling with CSA.

They will sell tickets on flights to 36 European destinations from their Prague hub. Norwegian to open base at new low-cost Oslo airport

Norwegian Air Shuttle, currently based at Oslo (International), will begin flying from the new low cost airport for the city, Oslo (Rygge), next year. They will begin flights there from mid-February 2008, and destinations from Oslo (Rygge) will include: London (Stansted), Alicante, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Marrakech, Warsaw, Szczecin, Palanga, Budapest, Istanbul (Sabiha), Athens, Belgrade and Bergen.

Norwegian reinstate flights to Svalbard

From the end of March 2008, Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying from their Oslo (International) base to Longyearbyen. Longyearbyen is the administrative centre of the island of Svalbard, and is one of the most northerly settlements in the world.

Norwegian Air Shuttle previously flew to Svalbar during the summer months, but have not done so this year. From 27 March, they will fly twice per week on this route. Flights can be purchased already at www.norwegian.no.

Scandinavian flights from Nottingham East Midlands

Sterling will begin flying to East Midlands from their Scandinavian bases. From the end of October 2007, they will launch flights to East Midlands from Oslo (International), Copenhagen and Stockholm (Arlanda). New Sterling flights for winter

This winter, Sterling will begin a number of new routes from their Scandinavian bases. Stering to fly to Brussels

Scandinavian low-cost airline Sterling will begin flying to Brussels (International) from their various bases in Scandinavia. From the end of October 2007, they will begin flying to Brussels (International) from Stockholm (Arlanda), Oslo (International) and Copenhagen.

gotlandsflyg will operate four new routes this summer from Visby, on the Swedish island of Gotland. They will launch flights from Visby to Oslo (International), Helsinki, Gothenburg (Landvetter) and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel). The flight dates vary but will operate between June and September 2007.

Iceland Express will increase the number of flights they offer to their Reykjavik base from next summer. They will add six new routes to Reykjavik including flights from Bergen, Oslo (International), Paris (Orly), Basel, Eindhoven and Billund. Flights can be booked now for summer 2007.

Wizz Air continue to grow in Scandinavia

Wizz Air will launch a new route from Katowice to Oslo (Torp) on 19 September 2006. They will fly 3 times per week on this route – which will become their 4th Scandinavian destination.

This should not be confused with a one-off route they are operating to Oslo (International) in mid-June.

Norwegian expands to Baltic countries

From 04 May 2006, Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying 3 times per week from Oslo (International) to the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, and to Tallinn in Estonia.

Norwegian expands to include St Petersburg and others

Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying from their Oslo (International) base to St. Petersburg from the beginning of May 2006. This follows the announcement last week that Germanwings would begin flying to St. Petersburg.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will also move their Oslo (International) to Paris route from Paris (Beauvais) to Paris (Orly) from April.

In June they will add 2 summer services to Alicante from Bergen and Stavanger.

WindJet will add flights from Venice (Marco Polo) to Oslo (International) (a route that Norwegian Air Shuttle will also begin flying from June 20006) from early March 2006, and from Palermo and Catania to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) from the end of March.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying from their base at Oslo to Hamburg from 31 October. They will fly 4 times per week on this route.

Germanwings to establish a base at Hamburg

Germanwings will make Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel) a base from this coming winter season. They will begin flying to 9 new destinations from Fuhlsbuettel, including Istanbul (Sabiha), Krakow, London (Gatwick), Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Toulouse, Warsaw and Zagreb.

Germanwings winter schedule on sale

Following the announcement by Hapag-Lloyd Express, Germanwings have announced that they will begin the sale of flights from their 2005/06 winter schedule this afternoon at 4pm (GMT). This will include flights until 25 March 2006.

They will also put their routes on sale in phases. This first phase will include new routes from Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Oslo, Prague and Warsaw.

Norwegian will add 2 new routes from their Oslo base. From 14 April 2005 they will begin flying to the Polish cities of Krakow and Warsaw.

Sterling connects Copenhagen and Amsterdam

Sterling will begin flying a new route from Copenhagen to Amsterdam on 01 May 2005. They will use this route from Amsterdam to interconnect flights from their bases at Oslo, Stockholm (Arlanda), Gothenburg (Landvetter) and Billund.

A reminder that only direct low-cost routes appear in the cheap0 database at the present time.

Sterling adds 7 new summer routes

Sterling have put 7 new routes on sale for summer 2005, including flights to Montpelier from their bases at Billund, Copenhagen (Kastrup), Stockholm (Arlanda) and Gothenburg (Landvetter). In addition they have will launch new routes from Oslo to Athens and Edinburgh and also Copenhagen to Edinburgh.

These new routes commence from May, although some begin later and only run for the summer season. Check their schedules for full details, as many of the flights are only once or twice per week.
