New Wizz Air routes from Budapest and Katowice
Wizz Air have announced that they will add a new aircraft to their Budapest base from the end of March 2009. From this time they will begin flying from Budapest to Barcelona, Madrid, Naples and Oslo (Torp). They have also put a new route on sale from Katowice to Kiev, which is due to begin on 29 December 2008.

easyJet announce new routes from Geneva
easyJet have put two new routes on sale from their Geneva base. These include flights from Geneva to Naples and Oviedo, which begin from 22 April 2008. They have also put new flights on sale from Lyon to Biarritz, launching on 07 June.

New Olbia flights for summer with Meridiana
Italian budget airline Meridiana will launch four new routes to Olbia this summer. From June 2008, they will fly to Olbia from Naples, Turin, Trieste and Venice (Marco Polo). Flights can be booked now at www.meridiana.it.

New summer routes for Sterling
Sterling have put ten new routes on sale for the summer 2008 season. These include the following:
- Billund to Olbia and Prague
- Copenhagen to Naples, Olbia, Trieste, Varna and Venice (Marco Polo)
- Gothenburg (Landvetter) to Bourgas
- Stockholm (Arlanda) to Bourgas and Naples

SkyEurope adds Vienna flights
Sky Europe will begin four new routes from their Vienna base for the forthcoming winter season. From the end of October 2007, they will begin flying from Vienna to Warsaw, Krakow, Naples and Innsbruck.

New Vueling Italian routes from Madrid
Vueling will begin flying two new routes from their Madrid base to Italy. From 22 June 2007 they will fly from Madrid to Naples and Pisa. These flights can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

11 new routes from Barcelona for clickair
The recently launched Spanish low-cost airline, clickair, has launched an assault on the competition at Barcelona airport. Over the coming months they will launch 11 new routes, including flights to Verona (Villafranca), Venice (Marco Polo), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Pisa, Helsinki, Bucharest (Otopeni), Budapest, Vienna, Jerez and Warsaw.
They will also launch two new routes from Seville to London (Gatwick) and La Coruna.

New flights from Geneva to France and Italy
Flybaboo will begin flights from their Geneva base to new destinations in France and Italy from 25 March 2007. These include flights to Biarritz, Marseille and Naples.

New destinations for MyAir
Italian low-cost airline MyAir will add 3 routes for their winter 2006/07 schedule, beginning at the end of October 2006. They will fly from Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) to Barcelona and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and also between Venice (Marco Polo) and Naples.

SkyEurope to fly between Naples and Bratislava
From 18 June 2006, the Central-European airline Sky Europe will begin flying between the Slovakian capital, Bratislava and Naples.

Condor added to flycheapo database
Following the announcement that Condor would launch regular and low-cost style flights from Munich, we have added these flights to the route database.
Condor currently fly from Munich to Barcelona, and in April and May will launch flights to Brussels (International), Prague, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Pisa, Turin, Venice (Marco Polo), and Istanbul (Sabiha). These are priced as single tickets.

SkyEurope to open Prague base
Sky Europe will make Prague their next hub airport. They will launch 7 routes from Prague from 10 April 2006. These will include flights to Amsterdam, Paris (Orly), Milan (Orio al Serio), Barcelona, Naples, Nice and Rome (Fiumicino).

Intersky will launch routes from their Friedrichshafen base to Dresden (on 26 March 2006) and Naples (on 28 April).

easyJet network expansion continues
easyJet have announced an expansion for 2006, and will add 14 new routes to their European route network over the coming months. This includes expansion from Lisbon to London (Luton), Milan (Malpensa) and Paris (Charles De Gaulle), from Liverpool to Faro, Krakow, Menorca and Marseille, from Malaga to Dortmund and Berlin (Schoenefeld), from Milan (Malpensa) to Naples, Palermo, Olbia and Ibiza and from Geneva to Palma (Mallorca).
These flights will go on sale from Friday 06 January.

SkyEurope expands Krakow base
SkyEurope will expand their Krakow base, where they currently operate 7 routes.
They will add a further 8 routes in 2006 (and reopen one to Barcelona) from March to June, including Edinburgh, Birmingham, Brussels, Bologna, Stockholm (Arlanda), Naples, Turin and Athens.

SkyEurope expands at Budapest
SkyEurope have put 4 new routes on sale for 2006 from Budapest. In mid-April they will launch 2 new Italian routes from Budapest, including Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) and Naples.
They will also launch 2 new routes to Bulgaria for the summer season, including Bourgas and Varna. This will make SkyEurope the first low-cost airline to fly to Varna.

Hapag-Lloyd Express adds routes
Hapag-Lloyd Express will begin operating 3 new routes from 14 December 2005, including Munich to Bari and Naples and from Stuttgart to Stockholm (Arlanda). On 09 January 2006, they will also launch a route from Stuttgart to Milan (Malpensa).

MyAir expands routes to Naples
From 17 September 2005, MyAir will begin flying from their Venice and Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) bases to Naples. They will also add a route from Naples to Bucharest (Baneasa).

The return of Volareweb
The Italian low-cost carrier Volareweb, which suspended flights in November 2004, is due to begin flying again this June under ‘extraordinary management’.
After much speculation about the future of the airline, it would seem that they are having a cautious re-introduction to the low-cost market and initially intend to fly 4 Italian domestic routes from 01 June 2005. These routes will be from Milan (Linate) to Bari, Brindisi, Catania and Naples.

Monarch Scheduled extends summer expansion
Further to the announcement earlier today regarding expansion at London (Gatwick), Monarch Scheduled will also launch new routes from Birmingham (International) to Alicante and Faro (from early May 2005) and from Manchester to Naples, from 28 April.
These routes do not appear to have been announced yet, however they are on sale immediately.

MyAir - a new budget airline for Italy
On 17 December 2004, MyAir is due to commence flying. They are a new low-cost airline based in Italy who are offering both domestic and international routes.
Initially they will offer routes from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Brindisi, Catania, Naples and Madrid, from Venice to Madrid and Barcelona and from Catania to Madrid.
They are taking bookings now, with lead-in fares of €0.01.

Volareweb launch winter timetable
Volareweb have announced a large expansion for thier operation, based in Italy. On 31 October they will launch 10 new routes.
From Bologna, they will begin flights to Bari, Cagliari, Catania and Palermo. They will also begin flying routes from Bari to Catania and Palermo. At Milan, they will launch 2 new routes from different airports, from Malpensa they will fly to the Romanian capital of Bucharest and from Orio al Serio they will fly to Lamenzia-Terme. Finally, from Naples they will launch 2 new routes to Catania and Palermo.
