bmibaby summer 2009 routes on sale
bmibaby have put new their flights on sale for summer 2009. This includes four new routes: Manchester to Toulouse and Amsterdam, Cardiff to Lisbon and East Midlands to Almeria. These flights are available to book immediately at www.bmibaby.com.

easyJet launch Helsinki and Portuguese domestic routes
easyJet have today put on sale three new routes for the winter 2008 season, featuring their first flights to Helsinki and also their first domestic route in Portugal. From the beginning of November, easyJet will launch the only low-cost route between the United Kingdom and Helsinki when they launch daily flights from London (Gatwick). From 27 October 2008 they also will begin flying between Lisbon and Funchal, and from Madrid to Sofia.

Three new bmibaby routes from Manchester
bmibaby have announced three new routes to Spain and Portugal from their Manchester base. From 16 June 2008 they will launch flights from Manchester to Lisbon and Madrid, and from 08 September they will begin flying from Manchester to Barcelona. These flights are already available to book at www.bmibaby.com.

New Centralwings routes to Lisbon and Amsterdam
centralwings will begin flying to Lisbon from their Warsaw base this summer, with flights beginning from 02 April 2008. They will also begin flying to Amsterdam from Poznan at the end of March.

easyJet to expand in France
easyJet will expand their operation in France next year, with the announcement that they will open bases at Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Lyon. For the summer 2008 season, they will begin flying from Lyon to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Venice (Marco Polo), Oporto, Lisbon, Casablanca and Marrakech. They will also launch flights from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Biarritz, Oporto, Venice (Marco Polo), Marrakech, Krakow and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel).

easyJet to fly to Bulgaria and seven new routes
easyJet will begin flying to the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, this winter. They will begin flying three times per week from London (Gatwick) 06 November 2007. They have also put new routes on sale from Liverpool to Innsbruck and Lisbon, from Basel to Marrakech and Oporto and from both Milan (Malpensa) and Geneva to Marrakech.

easyJet to fly to Madeira
easyJet have put more new routes on sale for the winter 2007/08 season. These include flights from their Bristol and London (Stansted) bases to Funchal. These will be their first routes to Funchal. They will also begin flying from Bristol and London (Gatwick) to Lisbon, from Edinburgh and Bournemouth to Krakow and from Barcelona to Lyon. All of these flights begin operating from 28 October 2007.

Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will begin flying from their Seville base to Lisbon. They will begin flying on this route from 01 December 2007. Flights may be booked at www.vueling.com now.

New Air Berlin flights from Dusseldort
Air Berlin will begin three new routes from their Dusseldorf base from the beginning of November 2007. They will begin flying to Almeria, Faro and Lisbon. They will also launch flights from Palma to Lisbon and from Munich to Faro. These are all available to book now at www.airberlin.com.

Summer exansions for Centralwings at Warsaw
centralwings will expand the number of routes that they fly from their Warsaw base for the summer 2007 season. Throughout the next few months they will begin flying from Warsaw to Chania, Malta, Catania, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Faro, Varna, Heraklion and Rhodos. They will also launch flights from Katowice to Rhodos and from Krakow to Lisbon.

Blue Air to start flights from Romania to Lisbon
The Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air will begin flights from their Bucharest (Baneasa) base to Lisbon. From 25 March 2007 they will fly twice per week.

New easyJet routes from Geneva and Berlin
easyJet will begin flying from their Geneva base to Cagliari from 28 June 2007. They will also add two new routes from their Berlin (Schoenefeld) base, flying to Venice (Marco Polo) and Lisbon from 11 May.

bmibaby expansion at Birmingham
bmibaby will expand their operation at Birmingham from next summer, including the introduction of four new routes. They will begin flying to Barcelona, Lisbon, Marseille and Rome (Fiumicino) from 24 May 2007.

Thomsonfly launch new low-cost routes
From 01 May 2007, Thomsonfly will begin five new low-cost routes across the UK. These include flights from London (Luton) to Jersey and Dubrovnik, Manchester to Lisbon and Funchal and from East Midlands to Malaga. These new routes can be booked at www.thomsonfly.com.

Clickair flights go on sale
clickair, the new Spanish low-cost airline partially owned by Iberia - the national carrier of Spain, have put their first flights on sale. The flights, commencing 01 October 2006, include routes from Barcelona (their primary base) to Seville, Geneva, Zurich, and Lisbon. They will also fly from Seville to Paris (Orly). In November, they will launch flights from Valencia to Paris (Orly) and Rome (Fiumicino).

From 20 February 2006, Vueling will operate 3 new routes from their Madrid base. They will begin flying to Lisbon, Milan (Malpensa) and Amsterdam.

easyJet network expansion continues
easyJet have announced an expansion for 2006, and will add 14 new routes to their European route network over the coming months. This includes expansion from Lisbon to London (Luton), Milan (Malpensa) and Paris (Charles De Gaulle), from Liverpool to Faro, Krakow, Menorca and Marseille, from Malaga to Dortmund and Berlin (Schoenefeld), from Milan (Malpensa) to Naples, Palermo, Olbia and Ibiza and from Geneva to Palma (Mallorca).
These flights will go on sale from Friday 06 January.

easyJet expand further at Basel
easyJet will base an additional aircraft at their Basel base in the coming months. This will see the introduction of 4 new routes, including a twice-daily service to Paris (Charles De Gaulle) from 31 October 2005, and from 10 March 2006, daily services to Lisbon and Amsterdam. They will also add a service to Prague, operating 5 times per week.

easyJet have just made 6 new routes available for booking. These routes include London (Gatwick) to Murcia and Grenoble, Geneva to Malaga and Lisbon and Dortmund to Milan (Malpensa) and Barcelona.

Monarch Scheduled adds routes from Gatwick
Monarch Scheduled have announced they will begin flying 2 new routes from London (Gatwick) on 28 April 2005. The new routes will include Lisbon and Granada. They will be the first low-cost airline to fly Gatwick - Granada.

centralwings - a new low cost carrier for Europe!
While the bankruptcy of Air Polonia is still unclear, today we learn that a new low-cost carrier - centralwings - will launch next year, backed by Polish state airline LOT.
centralwings will use 3 bases in Poland, Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice. They will commence flights to London (Gatwick) from Warsaw and Krakow on 01 February 2005.
They will then begin the roll-out of their summer timetable during March - May. This will include routes between Warsaw and Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi), Lisbon, Malta, Girona, Prague, Nuremberg, Catania, from Krakow to Rome (Ciampino) and from Katowice to Cologne-Bonn and Hanover.
