flybe Summer 2008 expansion
flybe will expand their operation next summer, when they will launch 23 new routes. This will include expansion in Scotland, with new routes being launched from Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow (International), in addition to flights from England (Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton, Exeter, Newquay and Birmingham), Wales (Cardiff) and Northern Ireland (Belfast (City)).
All of these new routes are available to book now at www.flybe.com.

flybe put former BA Connect routes on sale
flybe have now put the routes on sale that they will take over from BA Connect. They will begin operating all of these flights from 25 March 2007. These include flights from Birmingham to Milan (Malpensa), Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Frankfurt (International), from Manchester to Edinburgh, Isle of Man, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Milan (Malpensa), Dusseldorf, Frankfurt (International), Stuttgart, Brussels (International) and Hanover, and also from London (Gatwick) to Inverness and Isle of Man.

Ryanair expansion at Nottingham East Midlands
From 12 February 2007, Ryanair will expand their operation from East Midlands. During a two week period they will launch 10 new routes. They will begin flying to Inverness, Knock, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela, Granada, Alghero, Milan (Orio al Serio), Pisa, Krakow and Bratislava.

flybe will begin flying to Inverness later this year. They will fly four times per week between their Belfast (City) base and Inverness from 16 December 2006. Flights are on sale now at www.flybe.com.

Ryanair announces major expansion at Liverpool
Liverpool and nearby Manchester continue to grow as hubs for low-cost flying. Today, Ryanair has announced 11 new routes for Liverpool.
The new routes, which span Europe, will begin from the beginning of October 2006.
They include Aberdeen and Inverness in the UK, the Spanish cities of Santander and Santiago de Compostela, expansion into Poland with flights to Wroclaw, Poznan and Krakow. They will begin flying to the Italian cities of Alghero (Sardinia) and Ancona, and also to Kaunas in Lithuania and Tampere in Finland.

easyJet announces 3 new Bristol routes
easyJet have announced that they will launch 3 new routes from Bristol from 7 July 2005. They will begin flying to Murcia, Pisa and Inverness. Tickets are available immediately for these new destinations.

easyJet expands Belfast hub
easyJet announced 3 new routes to commence on 01 July 2005 from their base at Belfast (International). The new routes include Inverness, Geneva and Palma (Mallorca).

Snowflake cancel Inverness route
The Swedish budget carrier, Snowflake, have announced that they are to suspend flights between Inverness and Stockholm (Arlanda) on 23 July, this is due to lack of demand.
