Large expansion for Vueling at Ibiza
Spanish low-cost airline will ramp up the number of flights that they offer from Ibiza this summer. From the end of June 2010 they will add flights from Ibiza to Alicante, Amsterdam, Milan (Malpensa), Seville, Malaga and Rome (Fiumicino). The new routes are on sale now at www.vueling.com.

Five new Ryanair routes from Spain and Italy
Ryanair have put five new routes on sale with flights starting in May 2010. These include routes from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Marrakech, Poznan and Wroclaw, from Zaragoza to Paris (Beauvais) and from Ibiza to Turin and Venice (Treviso).

Ryanair expands operation at Weeze airport
Ryanair have put 9 new routes on sale from their Weeze base, starting July 2009. These will include flights from Weeze to Almeria, Ibiza, Valladolid, Turin, Lamezia-Terme, Zadar, Krakow, Bratislava and Beziers.

Ryanair have put six new routes on sale. These include new flights from East Midlands to Palma and Reus (beginning July 2009), Alghero to Bari and Reus (from June) and Ibiza to Rome (Ciampino) (from June) and Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) (from April).

Six new Vueling summer routes to Ibiza
Vueling will launch six new routes to Ibiza this summer. From 12 June 2009 they will begin flying to Ibiza from Alicante, Bilbao, Seville, Valencia, Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Milan (Malpensa). Four new Ryanair routes from Pisa
Ryanair will launch four new routes from Pisa this summer. From June they will fly from Pisa to Zadar, Marrakech, Lille and Ibiza.

New Ryanair routes from Stockholm and East Midlands
Ryanair have put two new routes on sale from their Stockholm (Skavsta) base, including flights to Zadar and Palma. Both routes begin from the end of March 2009. They will also launch flights from East Midlands to Ibiza at the same time.
New routes from Rome to Ibiza and Lamezia Terme
Italian low-cost airline Blu-express have put two new routes on sale for the summer season. They are scheduled to fly from Rome (Fiumicino) to Lamezia-Terme 6 times per week from 30 March 2009. easyJet have put three new routes on sale for summer, launching at the end of June 2009. These include flights from Lyon to Ibiza and Olbia, and also from Geneva to Bastia.

14 new easyJet routes for summer 2009
easyJet put 14 new routes on sale yesterday across their European network. The new flights will launch between May and July 2009, and include routes from Bristol to Bastia and Corfu, Liverpool to Bordeaux, Dubrovnik and Naples, Manchester to Bastia, Athens and Corfu, Newcastle to Malta, Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Ajaccio, Bilbao to Ibiza, Basel to Bordeaux, Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Dubrovnik, and Geneva to Dubrovnik.

SmartWings to fly to Ibiza
SmartWings will launch their 9th Spanish route with flights to Ibiza next summer. They will begin flying twice per week from their Prague base to Ibiza from 6 June 2009.

Massive additions to Ryanair winter flight schedule
Although Ryanair have made it known that they intend to ground some of their fleet this winter due to the high cost of oil, they have just announced details of 40 new routes that they will begin flying this winter. The new routes begin from the end of October 2008, and include:
- Bremen to Fuerteventura, Gothenburg (Saeve), Marrakech and Tenerife (Sur)
- Bournemouth to Milan (Orio al Serio) and Paris (Orly)
- Bristol to Gdansk, Marrakech and Szczecin

Italian routes to Ibiza with My Air

Volareweb have 15 new routes launching over the next few months from their Milan (Malpensa) base. Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will launch a number of flights to Ibiza from the end of April. On 25 April 2008 they launch flights from Madrid to Ibiza. On 30 May they will begin flying from Ibiza to Bilbao, Milan (Malpensa), Seville, Valencia and Paris (Charles de Gaulle). They will also launch flights from Ibiza to Alicante on 13 June. New Canary Island routes for Vueling
Vueling, the Spanish low-cost airline, will begin flights to the Canary Islands this summer. SmartWings expansion for summer
SmartWings will expand their operation considerably for the upcoming summer season. They will add flights from the Czech Republic cities of Brno and Ostrava. They will become the first low-cost airline to operate flights to Ostrava, the largest Czech regional airport. From June 2007, they will begin flying from Ostrava to Thessaloniki and Girona. They will also fly from Brno to Girona.
Also during the summer season, they will expand the number of flights that they operate from their Prague base. From the beginning of June they will begin flying to Kavala, Kalamata, Rhodos, Ibiza and Faro.
Three more routes from Paris for Vueling
Spanish low-cost airline Vueling continue to put on new routes at their first non-Spanish base. FlyGlobespan will expand their operation at Durham Tees Valley with five new routes next year. easyJet have announced an expansion for 2006, and will add 14 new routes to their European route network over the coming months. This includes expansion from Lisbon to London (Luton), Milan (Malpensa) and Paris (Charles De Gaulle), from Liverpool to Faro, Krakow, Menorca and Marseille, from Malaga to Dortmund and Berlin (Schoenefeld), from Milan (Malpensa) to Naples, Palermo, Olbia and Ibiza and from Geneva to Palma (Mallorca).

FlyGlobespan expands for summer 2006
FlyGlobespan have announced an additional 3 new routes for summer 2006. These include Edinburgh to Rome (Fiumicino) and Bournemouth, and from Glasgow to Ibiza. Flights to Bournemouth will operate daily, while the other routes will operate once per week.

helvetic ‘optimises’ route schedule
helvetic will add 3 new routes for the forthcoming summer 2006 season. From the end of March 2006, they will begin flying from their Zurich base to Ibiza, Olbia and Cagliari.
Prior to this, however, they will withdraw one of their aircraft from service and lay off 14 staff. They will also stop flying to Madrid, Prague and Rome.

FlyGlobespan adds Spanish routes from Edinburgh
FlyGlobespan will fly from their base at Edinburgh to Murcia and Ibiza for the 2006 summer season.
This information comes following the announcement earlier in the week that Jet2 will begin flying from Edinburgh to Murcia. The Jet2 offering looks far more favourable, as they will operate up to 5 times per week during the peak summer season, compared to the once-per-week service offered by FlyGlobespan.
The FlyGlobespan flight to Ibiza will operate twice per week. Both routes commence on 01 April 2006.

Germanwings summer 2006 timetable
Later this evening, Germanwings will put their summer 2006 timetable on sale. This will include new routes from Cologne-Bonn to Alicante, Gdansk, Gothenburg (Saeve), Heraklion, Jerez and Antalya. It will also include new routes from Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Ibiza, Stuttgart to Antalya and Hamburg to Izmir.
Flights will go on sale (for new and existing destinations) this evening at 6pm CET at www.germanwings.com.

Thomsonfly expands across UK
Thomsonfly has announced that they will begin selling “frequent”, “low-cost” flights from 11 UK regional airports from summer 2006. This will no doubt see capacity from the parent group, Thomson, being utilised for Thomsonfly branded flying.
Thomsonfly already operate flights from Coventry, Doncaster and Bournemouth, but from May 2006 will begin operating flights from Cardiff, Glasgow, London (Luton and Gatwick), Birmingham (International), East Midlands, Manchester and Newcastle. Destinations announced so far include Malaga, Alicante, Ibiza and Palma (Mallorca).
New Thomsonfly routes from these 8 additional regional airports are available to book now at www.thomsonfly.com. Summer 2006 routes from their current bases will be available to book shortly.

Jet2 will launch a new route between Manchester and Ibiza for Summer 2006. They will begin flying this route on 19 May 2006.

The Italian low-cost airline, MyAir, will add summer routes from their bases at Venice (Marco Polo), Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi) and Milan (Orio al Serio) to Ibiza and Oblia.
These flights will operate 3 times per week from 16 July 2007 until mid September.

Thomsonfly announce Doncaster base
Today, Thomsonfly has announced the much awaited details of the routes they will fly from their new base at Doncaster. As with their base at Coventry, they will be the first low-cost airline to fly from Doncaster.
They will fly to Alicante, Malaga, Pisa, Palma (Mallorca), Jersey, Faro, Dublin, Prague, Ibiza and Valencia and Paris (Charles de Gaulles).

The low-cost carrier based at Leeds (Bradford), Jet2, have put on sale a new route for Summer 2005 from Leeds (Bradford) to Ibiza. Flights will begin on 26 May 2005. Jet2 seem keen to emphasise that their routes for next summer are on sale already, unlike some of the other low-cost airlines.

Europe welcomes yet another new budget airline – the Italian-based carrier, JetX, began flying on 02 July 2004.
They have bases in Pisa, Trieste and Bologna (Forli). They are flying to a range of destinations including Paris (Charles de Gaulles), Athens, Zakinthos, Ibiza and Olbia.

Vueling Airlines – a new budget airline for Europe
Vueling Airlines is a new Spanish budget airline with bases in Barcelona and Valencia.
They are due to begin flying on 01 July 2004, with the aim of connecting Spain with the ‘major capitals’ of south-west Europe. Initially, they will begin flying (from both bases) to Paris (Charles de Gaulles), Brussels, Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca.
