14 new easyJet routes for summer 2009
easyJet put 14 new routes on sale yesterday across their European network. The new flights will launch between May and July 2009, and include routes from Bristol to Bastia and Corfu, Liverpool to Bordeaux, Dubrovnik and Naples, Manchester to Bastia, Athens and Corfu, Newcastle to Malta, Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Ajaccio, Bilbao to Ibiza, Basel to Bordeaux, Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Dubrovnik, and Geneva to Dubrovnik.

New easyJet winter routes from Manchester and Gatwick
easyJet have put two new winter routes on sale from their Manchester base to Geneva and Sofia, both starting from 11 December 2008. They will also begin flying from London (Gatwick) to Lyon from 03 October.

FlyGlobespan resume Geneva flights
FlyGlobespan will resume flights from their Edinburgh base to Geneva next winter. Twice weekly flights will begin again from 20 December 2008.

New Flybaboo routes to Ibiza, Sofia and Vienna
Flybaboo continue their summer expansion with new routes from their Geneva base to destinations in Spain, Bulgaria and Austria. From 16 June 2008, they will begin flying from Geneva to Ibiza, Vienna and Sofia.

FlyBaboo to fly to Russia and Ukraine
Swiss low-cost airline Flybaboo are due to begin flying from their Geneva base to destinations in Russia and Ukraine. From 26 May 2008 they will fly four times per week to St. Petersburg and three times per week to Kiev.

easyJet announce new routes from Geneva
easyJet have put two new routes on sale from their Geneva base. These include flights from Geneva to Naples and Oviedo, which begin from 22 April 2008. They have also put new flights on sale from Lyon to Biarritz, launching on 07 June.

MyAir to operate Rome to Turin flights
Italian budget airline MyAir is due to begin flying from their Rome (Fiumicino) base to Turin. They will begin operating flights on this route from 30 March 2008. They will also begin flying from Geneva to Brindisi from 04 June.

easyJet to add Swiss flights
This summer easyJet will add flights from their Geneva base to Ajaccio, Split (both from 29 June 2008) and Nantes (from 31 March), and from Basel to Cagliari (from 29 June). They will also begin flying a new route between Berlin (Schoenefeld) and Thessaloniki from 31 March.

FlyNordic add three routes from Stockholm
flynordic will launch three new routes from Stockholm (Arlanda) next year. From the beginning of February 2008 they will begin flying to Geneva, and from 28 April they will launch flights to Split and Dubrovnik. These flights are available to book now.

From the end of October 2007, easyJet will launch new routes to the Canary Islands. These will include flights from Madrid to Fuerteventura and Arrecife and from Geneva to Las Palmas.

Transavia adds winter flights from Rotterdam
Transavia have put four winter new winter routes on sale from their Rotterdam base. From 20 December 2007 they will fly from Rotterdam to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Geneva and Grenoble. These flights can be booked now at www.transavia.com.

easyJet to fly to Bulgaria and seven new routes
easyJet will begin flying to the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, this winter. They will begin flying three times per week from London (Gatwick) 06 November 2007. They have also put new routes on sale from Liverpool to Innsbruck and Lisbon, from Basel to Marrakech and Oporto and from both Milan (Malpensa) and Geneva to Marrakech.

Two winter flights from Doncaster

easyJet to fly from Birmingham
easyJet will begin flying from Birmingham this winter. They will begin flights from Birmingham to Grenoble and Geneva from mid-December 2007. They will also launch flights from Bournemouth to Grenoble at the same time.

Jet2 winter flights on sale
Jet2 have put some winter routes on sale, including new flights to Chambery from Edinburgh and Belfast (International). They will also fly to Chambery from Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Manchester, to Geneva from Leeds Bradford and Manchester and to Salzburg from Leeds Bradford. Flights will begin from 10 December 2007.

FlyBaboo announces summer flights to Corsica
Flybaboo will operate flights between their Geneva base and both Ajaccio and Figari on Corsica. This will make them the first low-cost airline to fly to Figari. Flights will begin from mid-June 2007.

New FlyGlobespan winter destinations from Aberdeen
FlyGlobespan will add four new routes from their Aberdeen base this coming winter. From the beginning of November 2007, they will begin flying from Aberdeen to Prague, Funchal and Malaga. From 23 December, they will also begin flying to Geneva.

New flights to Croatia and Macedonia for helvetic
From mid-May 2007, helvetic will begin flights from their Zurich base to the Croatian city of Split, as well as flights from Geneva to Split. At the end of March, they will also launch flights from Zurich to Ohrid.
easyJet to begin flights to Brussels from Geneva
easyJet will begin flying to Brussels (International) from their Geneva base, and flights will begin on 29 June 2007. This may come as a surprise to many, because Brussels (International) is frequently avoided by low-cost airlines due to the expense of landing there.

easyJet expansion at Edinburgh
easyJet will expand their operation at Edinburgh by adding three new routes. They will begin flying to Madrid (from 25 February 2007), Milan (Malpensa) (from 21 May) and Palma (from 10 June). Separately, they have also announced that they will also begin flying between Geneva and Oporto from 29 June.

As easyJet put their summer 2007 schedule on sale, a number of new routes have been revealed. These include flights from Geneva to Bordeaux and Olbia (starting 29 June 2007). They will also begin flying from London (Luton) to Ibiza from 05 May.

Clickair flights go on sale
clickair, the new Spanish low-cost airline partially owned by Iberia - the national carrier of Spain, have put their first flights on sale. The flights, commencing 01 October 2006, include routes from Barcelona (their primary base) to Seville, Geneva, Zurich, and Lisbon. They will also fly from Seville to Paris (Orly). In November, they will launch flights from Valencia to Paris (Orly) and Rome (Fiumicino).

From 01 December 2006, easyJet will fly daily between Geneva and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel). Tickets can already be purchased on this new route.

Eindhoven and other winter flights with Transavia
Dutch low-cost airline Transavia will launch flights from Eindhoven from 30 October 2006. They will begin flying to Alicante, Malaga and Faro. They have also added 3 routes for the winter season including Rotterdam to Innsbruck and Geneva, and Amsterdam to Salzburg.

Jet2 will launch some winter flights on 11 December 2006. These will include routes from their Leeds Bradford base to Geneva and Salzburg, and also from Manchester to Geneva.

flybe announce more winter flights
flybe have announced a further 8 new routes in their winter timetable, which will begin flying from mid-December 2006.
The new routes include Berne from Southampton and Birmingham, Chambery from Norwich and Birmingham, Salzburg from Southampton and Birmingham and also Geneva from both Southampton and Birmingham.

flybe winter routes on sale
flybe have put a number of new routes on sale for the forthcoming winter season. These include, from 29 October 2006, flights to Aberdeen from Leeds Bradford and Exeter, to Amsterdam from Exeter and Norwich, from Birmingham to Hanover, and from Belfast (City) to Doncaster and Galway.
From 16 December, they will launch skiing routes to Geneva from Exeter and Norwich, and from Exeter to both Salzburg and Chambery.
Their schedule also shows some flights beginning 08 March 2007 from Birmingham to Aberdeen and Galway.

bmibaby winter 2006/07 timetable
bmibaby will begin selling tickets from their winter 2006/07 timetable in stages from Thursday this week.
They will add winter flights to Geneva from their bases at Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and East Midlands.

Atlas Blue added to flycheapo
Following our expansion to include Morocco in flycheapo, we have added Atlas Blue - a low-cost airline operating in Morocco.
They fly a number of interesting routes between Marrakech and Milan (Malpensa), Brussels (International), Bordeaux, Lyon, Geneva, London (Gatwick), Amsterdam, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse. From the end of March they will begin flying between Brussels (International) and the Moroccan airports of Tangier, Oujda, Nador. They also currently fly between Agadir and Milan (Malpensa).
Atlas Blue will operate a summer service between Brussels (International) and Al Hoceima, beginning in late June.

easyJet network expansion continues
easyJet have announced an expansion for 2006, and will add 14 new routes to their European route network over the coming months. This includes expansion from Lisbon to London (Luton), Milan (Malpensa) and Paris (Charles De Gaulle), from Liverpool to Faro, Krakow, Menorca and Marseille, from Malaga to Dortmund and Berlin (Schoenefeld), from Milan (Malpensa) to Naples, Palermo, Olbia and Ibiza and from Geneva to Palma (Mallorca).
These flights will go on sale from Friday 06 January.

FlyGlobespan to Amsterdam
Not content with competing with easyJet on routes between London (Stansted) and Glasgow, Edinburgh and Geneva, FlyGlobespan will launch a new route from Glasgow to Amsterdam.
FlyGlobespan will launch a daily service to Amsterdam from 10 February 2006. This will replace a long standing easyJet service on this route, which will cease operation at the end of this month.

easyJet has announced that from 15 December 2005, they will flying 4 times per week between Geneva and Dortmund. This is in addition to the other recently announced easyJet winter routes to Geneva.

easyJet launches Geneva connections
easyJet will launch 3 new routes to Geneva this winter season. On 15 December 2005 they will begin flying daily from Doncaster and Edinburgh. They will also begin a weekly service from Glasgow on 17 December.
This will be the first route that easyJet will operate from the recently opened passenger airport at Doncaster.

easyJet launches routes at Bournemouth and Bremen
easyJet will launch routes at 2 airports which are new to them. They will begin a route from London (Luton) to Bremen on 31 October 2005.
They will also join Thomsonfly, Ryanair and Jet2 at Bournemouth, when they launch a daily service to Geneva on 15 December.
flyglobespan expands at Stansted
flyglobespan, the low-cost carrier based on Scotland, began competing on the Glasgow and Edinburgh to London (Stansted) routes earlier in the year.
They have announced for the winter 2005 season that they will fly 2 new routes from Stansted. They will begin flying daily to Tenerife (Sur) from 01 November 2005, and to Geneva from 22 December.

eastJet adds another London to Geneva route
easyJet will launch a route from London (Stansted) to Geneva on 15 December 2005. This will be their 3rd route from London to Geneva, as they already fly from Luton and Gatwick.
During the peak winter ski season, they are already flying up to 9-times daily from Luton alone.

easyJet adds 6 new routes
easyJet have just made 6 new routes available for booking. These routes include London (Gatwick) to Murcia and Grenoble, Geneva to Malaga and Lisbon and Dortmund to Milan (Malpensa) and Barcelona.
These routes will commence during the 2005/06 winter season, and are available now for booking.

easyJet winter timetable pt2
easyJet have put the 2nd part of their winter 2005 schedule on sale. This includes routes from Basel, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Geneva and London (Luton).
flybe expands at Norwich and Exeter
flybe have announced further expansion at their Exeter and Norwich bases.
During the upcoming winter season, 6 new routes will be added from Norwich (bringing their route total to 10). They will launch flights to Alicante and Malaga from the end of September 2005. On 17 December, they will launch new routes to the ski destinations Chambery and Geneva. On 16 March 2006, they will launch new routes to Aberdeen and Dublin. It looks likely that flybe will compete with Air Wales, who already operate a route from Norwich to Dublin.
flybe will also add 3 new routes to their Exeter base, bringing their total routes to 18. On 01 November they will add a new route to Murcia, and then on 17 December to Geneva and Chambery on 24 December.

In addition to the announcement of Geneva flights yesterday, Jet2 will launch a further skiing destination from their bases at Manchester and Leeds (Bradford) this winter.

flybaboo adds summer routes
flybaboo will add 3 routes from Geneva for the summer season. These include Nice (beginning on 21 March 2005), St Tropez (from early May) and Ibiza, from mid June. It is likely that these routes will be ’summer only’ routes, and won’t be continued for the winter season.

easyJet announced 3 new routes to commence on 01 July 2005 from their base at Belfast (International). The new routes include Inverness, Geneva and Palma (Mallorca).

flybe expands at Birmingham
Further to their recent announcement that they were to make Liverpool a new hub airport, flybe have announced that they will begin flying 7 new routes from Birmingham (International) next year.
This increase in capacity at Birmingham will make flybe Birmingham’s largest single scheduled carrier.
The new routes from Birmingham include Malaga, Alicante, Almeria, Palma (Mallorca), Faro, Murcia and Geneva. All of the routes will begin flying in March 2005, except Geneva, which we presume will begin in the 2005 winter season.
Flights for all destinations except Geneva are on sale now.

Jet2 makes Manchester a new hub
Jet2, currently based primarily at Leeds (Bradford) have announced they they will expand, using Manchester as their next hub.
They have announced 9 destinations from Manchester which include Budapest (starting 01 December 2004), Murcia, (02 December 2004), Valencia, Nice, Venice, Faro (all starting 19 March 2005),Pisa (26 May 2005), Geneva (18 December 2004) and Malaga (04 February 2004).

Swiss low-cost airline Flybaboo now have flights on sale for a flight connecting Geneva and Prague. Flights begin on 11 October 2004.

bmibaby announces new routes from Birmingham
Further to their announcement last week that they were due to form a new base at Birmingham (International), bmibaby have today announced the 9 new routes they will be flying from 7 January 2005 from Birmingham. These include: Alicante, Knock, Amsterdam, Belfast (International), Edinburgh, Geneva, Malaga, Palma (Mallorca) and Prague.
This new base is in addition to their already-established hub at East Midlands.

easyJet announce more new routes
In the next stage of the roll-out of their winter timetable, easyJet have announced yet more previously unannounced new routes from their new based, Berlin (Schoenefeld). From 31 October 2004, they will be flying to Ljubljana, Geneva, Krakow and Madrid. In addition, they have also announced a new route from Dortmund to Belfast (International).
These flights are on sale now, along with a large amount of their winter timetable.

easyJet winter timetable
easyJet have begun the sale of their winter timetable in stages, this includes a number of new routes not previously announced. These new routes include Bristol and Newcastle to Geneva and Rome (Ciampino), Geneva to Alicante, Madrid and Rome (Ciampino), and Paris (Orly) to Madrid.
These routes begin in November 2004 and are on sale now (up until the end of March 2004), with more to be released.

easyJet announce new Eastern European routes
easyJet have today revealed that they will begin flying a further 6 routes in Eastern Europe, from 31 October 2004, bringing their total number of routes in Eastern and Central Europe up to 17.
The new routes include London (Luton) to Warsaw and Krakow, Dortmund to Krakow, and routes between Budapest and Bristol, Newcastle and Geneva. In addition, they will increase the frequency of their service between Budapest and London (Luton).
easyJet have promised even further expansion into Eastern Europe, unlike Ryanair who, despite early promises, are yet to expand in this direction at all.

easyJet announces Gatwick expansion
While rumour has it BA are going to pull a number of routes from London (Gatwick), easyJet has announced that they are to expand their operation there. They are already scheduled to begin flying to Cologne-Bonn in September. In addition, they have now announced that they will fly to Budapest and increase the frequency of their Madrid flights.
In November, they will begin flying to Rome (Ciampino) and Venice, they will also increase the frequency of their Cologne-Bonn flights.
In February 2005, easyJet are planning to start flying to Murcia, and also increase the frequency of their Geneva flights.

EUjet plans British budget launch for September 04
EUjet have announced, after a much anticipated wait, that they will begin a budget operation primarily based at Kent (Manston), an airport the owners would like to see dubbed as ‘London-Manston’. They will also have a 2nd hub at Shannon in Ireland.
From Manston, EUjet are scheduled to fly to a range of destinations in Europe, flights beginning in September include: Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dublin, Faro, Girona, Jersey, Murcia, Nice and Prague.
Further routes are due to begin from Manston in October, including: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Milan (Malpensa) and Palma (Mallorca). Their final batch of new routes (still from Manston!) are scheduled to take-off in December, including: Geneva, Salzburg, Toulouse, Turin and Zurich.
Their routes from Shannon are due to begin from September (again over a period of months), to Dublin, Geneva, Malaga and Murcia.
