German low-cost Air Berlin to fly to LA
Air Berlin have announced that they will begin flying from their Berlin (Tegel) base to Los Angeles, boosting their existing summer service from Dusseldorf and other flights to New York.
Flights on the new Berlin (Tegel) route are on sale now and begin from May 2012. Book at www.airberlin.com.

Air Berlin increases frequency at Saarbruecken
Air Berlin will increase the frequency of their flights from Saarbruecken to Berlin (Tegel) this May. They will add more flights every day (except Saturday). This will increase the number of connecting flights available from Saarbruecken to include cities across Scandinavia, as well as to Bari in Italy. See www.airberlin.com for more information.

Air Berlin to fly to Tel Aviv this summer
Air Berlin are to launch flights from their Berlin (Tegel) base to Tel Aviv in Israel this summer. They will operate flights twice per week on this route from 08 July 2009. These are available to book now at www.airberlin.com.

WindJet to expand at Bologna Forli
WindJet will add 12 new routes from their Bologna (Forli) base next year. Flights, most of which begin at the end of March 2009, include routes to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin (Tegel), Krakow, Lampedusa, Naples, Prague, Riga, Timisoara, Brussels (International), Cagliari and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

New seasonal flights from Transavia
Transavia have put five new seasonal routes on sale to Austria and Germany. These include routes to Innsbruck from Berlin (Tegel), Brussels (International) and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel), as well as flights from Brussels (International) to Salzburg and Rotterdam to Friedrichshafen.

Click4Sky – a new European virtual low-cost airline
Click4Sky is a new low-cost airline created by CSA Czech Airlines. Unlike most other low-cost airlines, Click4Sky does not operate any flights – instead it is being used as a marketing brand in order to sell unsold seats on existing CSA flights. In addition, the airline will sell all seats at a fixed price. Customers travelling with Click4Sky will experience exactly the same on-board service as those travelling with CSA.
They will sell tickets on flights to 36 European destinations from their Prague hub. These will include flights to: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin (Tegel), Bologna (Guglielmo Marconi), Bratislava, Brussels (International), Budapest, Copenhagen, Cologne-Bonn, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt (International), Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel), Hanover, Istanbul (Ataturk), Kosice, Krakow, Ljubljana, London (Heathrow), London (Stansted), Madrid, Manchester, Milan (Malpensa), Munich, Oslo (International), Riga, Rome (Fiumicino), Thessaloniki, Stuttgart, Tallinn, Venice (Marco Polo), Vienna, Vilnius and Zurich.

Clickair to expand flights to London and Barcelona
clickair, the new Spanish low-cost airline, will begin flying to London (Heathrow) on 01 February 2007, and will launch an extensive operation from Barcelona in the first quarter of 2007.
They will fly from London (Heathrow) to Valencia and Seville. From Barcelona they will launch nine new routes, including flights to Malaga, Oporto, Frankfurt (International), Munich, Berlin (Tegel), Basel, Amsterdam, Dublin and Prague. This will come as a major challenge to Vueling, whose main base is at Barcelona.

Fly between Palermo and Berlin with Hapag-Lloyd Express
German low-cost airline Hapag-Lloyd Express will fly between Berlin (Tegel) and Palermo from 24 June 2006. They have also done a deal with Meridiana such that some Hapag-Lloyd Express routes are advertised on the Meridiana site.

Sterling and flynordic to cooperate
Sterling and flynordic have announced a strategic alliance, they will begin route-sharing on a number of routes and have started cooperating on flight sales.
This will see flynordic operate flights from Stockholm (Arlanda) to Berlin (Tegel), Barcelona, Bordeaux, Budapest and Dublin, and they will also operate the route from Copenhagen to Tallinn.
Sterling will be operating flights from Arlanda to Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Nice and Prague. They will also cooperate on their route from Gothenburg to Copenhagen.
