bmibaby summer 2009 routes on sale

bmibaby have put new their flights on sale for summer 2009. This includes four new routes: Manchester to Toulouse and Amsterdam, Cardiff to Lisbon and East Midlands to Almeria. These flights are available to book immediately at www.bmibaby.com.

Cardiff to Barcelona flights with bmibaby

bmibaby have put flights on sale from Cardiff to Barcelona. They will fly twice per week on this route from 27 May 2008. Flights can be booked now at www.bmibaby.com.

Three new bmibaby routes from Manchester

bmibaby have announced three new routes to Spain and Portugal from their Manchester base. From 16 June 2008 they will launch flights from Manchester to Lisbon and Madrid, and from 08 September they will begin flying from Manchester to Barcelona. These flights are already available to book at www.bmibaby.com.

bmibaby to add Birmingham to Warsaw route

bmibaby will add to their Polish destinations by adding a new route from their Birmingham hub to Warsaw. Flights, which begin on 27 May 2008, are already available to book at www.bmibaby.com.

Two new routes for bmibaby

bmibaby have added two new routes to their schedule for next year. Starting on 01 April 2008, they will add flights from their East Midlands base to Nice, and from their Birmingham base to Milan (Orio al Serio).

New Birmingham and Glasgow routes for bmibaby

bmibaby will launch two new routes on 12 February 2008. These are from Birmingham to Krakow and from Glasgow (International) to Knock. Flights on these routes are available to book now at www.bmibaby.com.

New Polish flights for bmibaby

bmibaby are to begin flying to Poland next year, when they launch flights there from both East Midlands and Cardiff. From 09 February 2008, they will begin flying from both airports to Warsaw and Gdansk.

Birmingham to Madrid with bmibaby

bmibaby will begin flying from their Birmingham base to Madrid. They will begin flying on this route from December 2007, and flights can already be booked at www.bmibaby.com.

Summer flights to Ibiza with bmibaby

bmibaby will begin summer flights to Ibiza from their East Midlands and Cardiff hubs. These new flights will begin on 30 June and 16 July 2007 respectively. Tickets are currently available to book on these new routes at www.bmibaby.com.

bmibaby to launch Cardiff to Murcia flights

bmibaby will launch a new route between Cardiff and Murcia. They will fly twice per week from 27 March 2007.

Summer flights from Birmingham to Jersey

bmibaby will launch flights from their Birmingham hub to Jersey for the summer. They will fly four times per week on this new route.

bmibaby expansion at Birmingham

bmibaby will expand their operation at Birmingham from next summer, including the introduction of four new routes. They will begin flying to Barcelona, Lisbon, Marseille and Rome (Fiumicino) from 24 May 2007.

New bmibaby routes from Birmingham

bmibaby will begin three new routes from their Birmingham base from 26 March 2007. They will begin flying twice daily to Glasgow (International), and three times per week to Murcia and Faro.

bmibaby launch Aberdeen to Birmingham flights

bmibaby will launch daily flights between Aberdeen and Birmingham from 30 October 2006. On weekdays, they will fly twice daily.

bmibaby winter 2006/07 timetable

bmibaby will begin selling tickets from their winter 2006/07 timetable in stages from Thursday this week.

They will add winter flights to Geneva from their bases at Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and East Midlands.

Increased competition at Cardiff

bmibaby have decided to stop operating flights in association with Air Wales on routes from Cardiff to Glasgow (International) and Belfast (International). Air Wales have responded by announcing the launch of their own route to Belfast (City).

In addition, Aer Arann have also announced the launch of 2 new routes to Cardiff, including one from Belfast (City) and one from Dublin (from 27 March 2006). This will mean that there will be 3 low-cost airlines competing on Cardiff to Dublin routes (Aer Arann, Air Wales and Ryanair), and also routes to Belfast (bmibaby, Aer Arann and Air Wales).

Jet2 adds Manchester route to Palma

Jet2 have put a new route on sale from Manchester to Palma (Mallorca). They will begin flying there at the end of March 2006 - the beginning of their 2006 summer season.

Jet2 will be competing with both Monarch Scheduled and bmibaby who operate on this route.

bmibaby winter timetable

bmibaby will put their 2005 winter timetable on sale this week. Routes from Birmingham and Nottingham (East Midlands) will go on sale on 15 June, with Cardiff and Durham Tees Valley routes going on sale the following day.

From 16 June it will be possible to purchase tickets for the new route from Durham Tees Valley to London (Gatwick). bmibaby will commence flying this route on 30 October 2005.

bmibaby to fly to Newquay

bmibaby will begin flying 2 new routes this summer season from their bases at Birmingham (International) and Durham Tees Valley to Newquay. Flights will commence on 10 June 2005.

Centralwings and Germanwings to cooperate

It was announced yesterday that Germanwings and Centralwings are to cooperate. They will work together on sales and marketing, in much the same way Germanwings is already working with bmibaby.

Germanwings is part of Lufthansa, and Centralwings is the new low-cost offshoot of Polish state airline, LOT. Centralwings is due to begin flying at the beginning of February.

Already both of the airline web sites have been updated to reflect the changes.

3 new bmibaby routes

bmibaby will launch 3 new routes on 29 March 2005, Cardiff to Faro and Durham Tees Valley to Cork and Paris (Charles de Gaulles).

bmibaby and summer at Birmingham

bmibaby have today put 4 new routes on sale from their summer timetable from Birmingham (International). These new routes include Nice, Bordeaux and Murcia starting around 10 June 2005. They will also begin a route to Cork on 27 March.

SmartWings to fly new routes from Prague

The Czech Republic based airline, Smart Wings, have announced 2 unlikely new routes from their base at Prague. On 22 October 2004 they are due to commence a new route to Vienna, an unlikely selection for a low-cost airline as Vienna has notoriously high landing fees, meaning that most low-cost airlines find it too expensive for them to use.

In addition, they have announced that they will begin flying on 01 November 2004 to London (Gatwick). This route is already flown by 2 carriers, easyJet and bmibaby. In the face of tough competition, it seems unlikely that all 3 will continue to operate the same route for much time.

World Low Cost Airlines Congress

This week, on 21 and 22 September, we will be attending and reporting from World Low Cost Airlines Congress in London. Speakers include Michael O’Leary (Ryanair), Ray Webster (easyJet) and a number of other speakers and panelists from European budget airlines including bmibaby, Hapag-Lloyd Express, Air Polonia, Sky Europe, FlyMe, Wizz Air and Sterling.

bmibaby announces new routes from Birmingham

Further to their announcement last week that they were due to form a new base at Birmingham (International), bmibaby have today announced the 9 new routes they will be flying from 7 January 2005 from Birmingham. These include: Alicante, Knock, Amsterdam, Belfast (International), Edinburgh, Geneva, Malaga, Palma (Mallorca) and Prague.

This new base is in addition to their already-established hub at East Midlands.

bmibaby expands into Birmingham (International)

bmibaby have announced that from the beginning of 2005, they will make Birmingham (International) a new British hub. They are due to begin flying 20 new routes, which they claim will be in addition to the services already flying from East Midlands airport.

They are due to announce the new routes next week. Perhaps bmibaby will be able to fill a void at Birmingham (International), left by the demise of duo earlier this year.
