Spanish low-cost airline will ramp up the number of flights that they offer from Ibiza this summer. From the end of June 2010 they will add flights from Ibiza to Alicante, Amsterdam, Milan (Malpensa), Seville, Malaga and Rome (Fiumicino). The new routes are on sale now at www.vueling.com.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will open three new routes from their Stockholm (Arlanda) base for the summer season, including flights to London (Gatwick), Edinburgh and Munich. The new routes begin from April 2010.

flybe have just put a route on sale from Edinburgh to Kent Manston – their only route to Kent Manston and the only low-cost route to operate from Kent Manston since EUJet went bankrupt in 2005. flybe will begin flying daily on this route from the end of May 2010. Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will begin flights to Moscow (Domodedovo) this year from their Barcelona base. Details will be revealed in due course and the route is due to go on sale in the next couple of weeks. Keep checking www.vueling.com for more info.

Air Berlin will launch a summer route from Frankfurt (International) to Westerland on 01 May 2010. They will operate flights on various days until the end of October. Tickets on sale now at www.airberlin.com.

Ryanair will launch ten new routes from Kaunas in Lithuania this summer and will make it their 40th European base. From May 2010 they will begin flying from Kaunas to Edinburgh, Girona, Berlin (Schoenefeld), London (Gatwick), Oslo (Rygge), Tampere, Weeze, Milan (Orio al Serio) and Paris (Beauvais).

Wizz Air are to launch flights to Belgrade in Serbia this year. They will begin flying from Dortmund on 12 June 2010 and from London (Luton) on 24 July. They will be the first low-cost airline to fly from the UK to Serbia.

Wizz Air are expanding their operation in Romania and from the end of June 2010 will launch three new routes from the Romanian capital Bucharest (Baneasa). They will begin flying twice per week to Cuneo, Weeze and Zaragoza. At the same time they will also launch new routes from Cluj-Napoca to Weeze and Zaragoza.

Ryanair have just put seven new routes on sale that they will operate this summer from their Cork base. They will begin flying in June 2010 to Alicante, Bordeaux, Faro, La Rochelle, Arrecife, Reus and Malaga.
