flybe has introduced what appears to be an interlining deal with Virgin Atlantic. The arrangement allows passengers that use a Flybe regional flight to easily connect with a Virgin flight at either London (Gatwick) or Manchester. flybe will issue boarding passes for all flights at the first check-in, allowing customers to remain airside throughout their journey.
The majority of low-cost airlines do not have interlining deals with other carriers due to the cost and complexity of offering these services. flybe already has similar deals with Brussels Airlines, British Airways and Etihad. More information on the arrangements can be found at www.flybe.com.
