FlyGlobespan in administration
FlyGlobespan – the low-cost airline based in Scotland – today went into administration. The company was unsuccessful in obtaining a cash injection in November 2009 that would have been required to keep the company afloat. As of today, all flights that they operated are grounded and their operations ceased.

Ryanair to fly to Lappeenranta (St Petersburg-West)?
Ryanair have put a new route on sale from their Weeze base to Lappeenranta in Finland. Lappeenranta is close to the border with Russia, in fact it is surprising that Ryanair are not referring to it as it St. Petersburg West or similar. Flights will begin in March 2010.
