Ryanair launches 39 new Canary Island routes

Ryanair have placed 39 new routes on sale from various European hubs to the Canary Islands. From October 2009 they will begin new flights to Las Palmas, Arrecife and Tenerife (Sur) from Girona, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Brussels (Charleroi), Dublin, Weeze, East Midlands, Frankfurt (Hahn), Glasgow (Prestwick), Liverpool, London (Luton), London (Stansted), Madrid, Oporto and Shannon.

New Ryanair route from Lille to Oporto

Ryanair have put a new route on sale between Lille and Oporto. They will begin flying three times per week on this route from 03 September 2009.

New Dublin routes for Norwegian

Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch two new routes from Dublin to their bases at Oslo (International) and Copenhagen. The flights will begin from 20 August 2009, and at the same time they will launch some other new routes from Copenhagen to Warsaw and Rome (Fiumicino).

Wizz Air to replace some MyAir routes

Wizz Air will replace some routes operated by suspended airline MyAir. They have put three new routes on sale from their Bucharest (Baneasa) base to destinations in Italy including Naples, Bologna (Forli) and Catania. The new routes begin in September / October 2009.

Low-cost airline MyAir suspends operations

Italian low-cost airline MyAir suspended operations this week after the Italian aviation authority (ENAC) revoked their operating certificate. ENAC were forced to do so on 24 July due to the financial instability of the airline.

All flights are currently grounded and new bookings are not being accepted.

Wizz Air to launch routes from Katowice to Memmingen and Venice

Wizz Air have put two new routes on sale from Katowice. The new flights, which begin in late September 2009, will operate from Katowice to Memmingen and Venice (Treviso).

11 new Ryanair routes to Oslo announced

Ryanair have announced 11 new routes to Oslo, including flights to both Oslo (Rygge) and Oslo (Torp).

The new routes include flights to Oslo (Rygge) from Alicante, Bremen, Brussels (Charleroi), Girona, Madrid, Milan (Orio al Serio) and London (Stansted). The new routes to Oslo (Torp) include flights from Krakow, Lodz, Paris (Beauvais) and Rome (Ciampino).

These new routes begin operating from October/November 2009 and are on sale now.

Vueling and Clickair merger completed

Vueling and clickair completed their merger today, 15 July 2009. With the integration complete, their combined route network is now being operated under the Vueling brand.

New Wizz Air routes from Sofia and Budapest

Wizz Air are set to launch new routes from Sofia to Eindhoven and from Budapest to Weeze. These new routes are scheduled to begin on 25 October 2009 and 21 September respectively.

Wizz Air to launch two new routes from Gdansk

Wizz Air have put two new routes on sale from Gdansk. These include flights from Gdansk to Eindhoven and Milan (Orio al Serio). Both routes are due to begin from mid-December 2009.

easyJet to launch flights to Tel Aviv

easyJet have put flights on sale from their London (Luton) base to Tel Aviv in Israel. They will become the first low-cost airline to offer flights from London to Tel Aviv and will fly 6 times per week from 02 November 2009.

At the same time they will also launch routes from Nantes to Lyon, and from London (Gatwick) to Agadir.

easyJet launches winter 09/10 routes

easyJet have put a number of new routes on sale for the 09/10 winter season. The new routes, which begin from the end of October 2009, include the following flights:

Wizz Air to enter Slovakian market

Wizz Air will enter the Slovakian market later this year when they launch a new route to Bratislava. From 20 September 2009 they will begin flying four times per week between Bratislava and Rome (Fiumicino).

New Ryanair routes to Oporto

From September 2009 Ryanair will launch four new routes from Oporto. New flights will include Oporto to Basel, Eindhoven, Tours and St. Etienne.

New easyJet flights to the Canary islands

easyJet have put three new routes on sale from the UK to the Canary islands for the winter 09/10 season. These include flights from Liverpool to Arrecife and Fuerteventura and also from London (Stansted) to Fuerteventura. The new routes take off from November 2009.

New easyJet routes from Manchester to Morocco, Denmark and Germany

easyJet will launch three new routes from Manchester this winter. From the end of October 2009 they will begin flying from Manchester to Marrakech and Copenhagen. From 06 November they will also add flights from Manchester to Munich. These flights are expected to go on sale shortly.
