Wizz Air to launch new flights from Warsaw and Bourgas

Wizz Air have put three new routes on sale including flights from their Warsaw base and new flights to Bourgas. From 08 June 2009 they will begin flying from Warsaw to Bourgas and Corfu. They will also begin flying to Bourgas from Poznan at the same time.

All Thomson flights now ATOL protected

Thomsonfly have announced that all Thomson and First Choice flights, whether part of a package or not, are now protected by the government back ATOL scheme. This protects consumers from financial loss if the airline goes into liquidation. See the Thomson web site for more information.

SmartWings to fly to Ibiza

SmartWings will launch their 9th Spanish route with flights to Ibiza next summer. They will begin flying twice per week from their Prague base to Ibiza from 6 June 2009.

flybe expands flights to Jersey

flybe are expanding the number of flights they operate to Jersey and have launched a number of new routes. These include flights from Dundee, Inverness, Humberside, London (Luton) and even Kent Manston. These flights will operate for the 2009 summer season and can be booked now at www.flybe.com.

New French routes for WindJet

WindJet have put two new routes from Siciliy to France on sale. The new routes are Palermo to Lyon and Catania to Nantes. Flights on these routes begin from April 2009.

Cardiff to Menorca connection from bmibaby

bmibaby are due to launch twice weekly flights from Cardiff to Mahon next year. They will fly on Thursday and Sunday from 21 May 2009. Flights are available to book now at www.bmibaby.com.

New Bourgas and Crete routes from Katowice

Wizz Air will launch two new routes from their Katowice base to Heraklion and Bourgas next year. They will begin flying on these routes from 08 June 2009.

New Vueling routes for Summer 09

Vueling have put four new Spanish domestic routes on sale for Summer 2009. These include flights from Barcelona to Ibiza and Mahon, as well as Madrid to Ibiza and Malta, and Malaga to Las Palmas. All of these flights begin from the end of March 2009 and can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

Norwegian to replace Sterling on Copenhagen routes

Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch a large number of new routes from Copenhagen, replacing the collapsed airline Sterling, most beginning at the end of March 2009. They will launch routes to Amsterdam, Budapest, Edinburgh, London (Gatwick), Faro, Heraklion, Krakow, Palma, Paris (Orly), Pisa, Prague and Split.

WindJet to expand at Bologna Forli

WindJet will add 12 new routes from their Bologna (Forli) base next year. Flights, most of which begin at the end of March 2009, include routes to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin (Tegel), Krakow, Lampedusa, Naples, Prague, Riga, Timisoara, Brussels (International), Cagliari and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

Paris to Barcelona with Clickair

clickair have put flights on sale from their Barcelona base to Paris (Orly) for next summer. They will begin flying on this route from the end of March 2009.

Four new easyJet routes from Gatwick

easyJet have put their summer timetable from London (Gatwick) on sale for 2009, and this includes four new routes. They will begin flying to Larnaca at the end of March 2009, and from May 2009 they will also add flights to Santorini, Naples and Dubrovnik.

New Ryanair route between Malta and Trapani

Ryanair will launch a new route between Malta and Trapani next year. They will begin flying on this route from 05 February 2009.

East Midlands to Nice with easyJet

easyJet will launch flights between East Midlands and Nice from 02 April 2009. They will fly three times per week on this route.

Helvetic to fly to Olbia

helvetic have added another route to their timetable for next summer. They will begin weekly flights from their Zurich base to Olbia from 11 April 2009.

Wizz Air to move flights to Barcelona

Wizz Air will move their current flights that operate to Girona to Barcelona. This change, effective from mid January 2009, will affect flights from Katowice and Sofia.

East Midlands to Menorca with bmibaby

bmibaby have just put a new route on sale from their East Midlands base to Mahon for summer 2009. They will operate three flights per week on this route from 22 May 2009 until late October. These can be booked now at www.bmibaby.com.

Jet2 to begin flying to Albert

Jet2 will expand their route network next year when they will begin flying to Albert, a tiny airport in the Somme region of France. They will begin flying on this route from 19 April 2009.

They will also fly between Manchester and Heraklion from 18 May 2009.
