Sterling Airlines files for bankruptcy

Scandinavian low-cost airline Sterling has this morning announced that they have been forced to file for bankruptcy. They have attributed this to recent oil prices as well as the global economic downturn.

All flights have been cancelled and those that have purchased tickets with Sterling will need to rebook with alternative airlines. Customers who have booked flights which are in fact operated by Norwegian should contact Norwegian for instructions.
