Manchester to Alicante with easyJet
easyJet will launch a new route from Manchester to Alicante next winter. They will begin flying four times per week on this route from 29 September 2008.
Wizz Air to open Ukraine base
Central European low-cost airline, Wizz Air, will be the first low-cost airline to open a base in Ukraine, and the first low-cost airline to have a significant presence in the country. From 11 July 2008 they will open a base at Kiev, and will also begin flying a network of domestic routes within Ukraine. They will launch flights from Kiev to Kharkov, Lviv, Odessa, Simferopol and Zaporozhye. They will also launch flights from Simferopol to Lviv and Kharkov.

Clickair flights from Valencia to Dubovnik
From 01 July 2008 clickair will begin flying twice per week from Valencia to Dubrovnik. Flights on this route can be booked already at www.clickair.com.
Ryanair summer routes to Rimini and Beziers
Ryanair will launch two new routes for summer from their London (Stansted) base. From June 2008 they will fly from London (Stansted) to Rimini and Beziers for the remainder of the summer season.
Paris to Guernsey flights with flybe
flybe will launch a year-round service between Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Guernsey this summer. They will fly four times per week on this route from 11 July 2008. The flights can be booked now at www.flybe.com.

Wizz Air to add flights to Tirgu Mures
From 15 May 2008, Wizz Air will begin flights to the Transylvanian city of Tirgu Mures. They will fly to Tirgu Mures three times per week from their Budapest base.
New route to Vigo from London Gatwick
clickair have put a new route on sale from London (Gatwick) to Vigo, in south west Spain. They are due to operate three flights per week on this route from 21 June 2008. The new flights can be booked now at www.clickair.com.
Centralwings to fly Krakow – Barcelona route
centralwings have put on sale new flights from their Krakow base to Barcelona. The flights, which will operate three times per week, will begin from 01 May 2008. They appear to be replacing flights on a withdrawn route from Krakow to Girona.

Norwegian to launch flights to the Canary Islands
From 13 October 2008 Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying from their Oslo (International) base to Arrecife. They will be operating weekly flights on this route.
Monarch to resume Manchester – Gibraltar flights
Monarch Scheduled will resume a link between Manchester and Gibraltar this summer, which they withdrew in mid-2006. From 12 September 2008 they will fly three times per week on this route.

New Flybaboo routes to Ibiza, Sofia and Vienna
Flybaboo continue their summer expansion with new routes from their Geneva base to destinations in Spain, Bulgaria and Austria. From 16 June 2008, they will begin flying from Geneva to Ibiza, Vienna and Sofia.

FlyBaboo to fly to Russia and Ukraine
Swiss low-cost airline Flybaboo are due to begin flying from their Geneva base to destinations in Russia and Ukraine. From 26 May 2008 they will fly four times per week to St. Petersburg and three times per week to Kiev.
FlyNordic absorbed by Norwegian
As announced last year, flynordic was acquired by Norwegian Air Shuttle and has now been fully absorbed. As of 05 April 2008, flynordic no longer operates any routes independently and was rebranded, and from today all airline bookings are to take place via the Norwegian Air Shuttle web site.

Iceland Express to fly to London Gatwick
Iceland Express will begin flying five times per week from London (Gatwick) to Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital. They will begin flying on this route from 16 September 2008.

Krakow to Dubrovnik with Centralwings

FlyNordic to fly Sweden to Belgrade
Scandinavian low-cost airline flynordic will begin flying from Stockholm (Arlanda) to Belgrade this summer. They will fly twice per week on this route from 16 June 2008.
Norwegian to fly to Bardufoss
Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin flying to the small Norwegian town of Bardufoss, situated between Harstad-Narvik and Tromso in the far north. From 01 May they will fly to Bardufoss from their Oslo (International) base.
