Clickair to fly to Tel Aviv

Spanish low-cost airline clickair will begin flights to Israel this summer, with their first route from Barcelona to Tel Aviv. According to their web site, these flights begin as early as 30 March 2008. They are available to book now at www.clickair.com.

Wizz Air move airports at Stockholm

Wizz Air will move airport at Stockholm for their route from Poznan. They currently fly from Poznan to Stockholm (Skavsta), but will move this to Stockholm (Vasteras) from 15 May 2008.

New Ryanair routes from Bremen

Ryanair will launch two new routes from Bremen on 03 June 2008. They will begin flights from Bremen to Haugesund in Norway and Salzburg in Austria.

FlyNordic to fly to Sarajevo, Istanbul and Dusseldorf

flynordic will launch new routes from their Stockholm (Arlanda) base to Sarajevo, Istanbul (Sabiha) and Dusseldorf in June this year. Flights, which begin from mid-June 2008, are available to book now.

Guernsey – Dublin link with flybe

flybe will begin flying directly between Guernsey and Dublin from 07 June 2008. The flights, which operate three times per week, can be booked via www.flybe.com.

Windjet to fly to Samara

WindJet will begin flying from their base at Bologna (Forli) to Samara – one of Russia’s largest cities, and will become the first low-cost airline to venture to this part of Russia. Weekly flights will begin from 15 June 2008, and can be booked now at www.volawindjet.it.

Ryanair to fly French and German domestic routes

Ryanair have put their first domestic routes in France and Germany on sale. These include flights from Marseille to Paris (Beauvais), and from Berlin (Schoenefeld) to Frankfurt (Hahn), which will begin operation in May. They will also begin new flights from East Midlands to Malaga and Stockholm (Skavsta) to Rostock-Laage (from 04 June), Shannon to Berlin (Schoenefeld) (from 30 May), Milan (Orio al Serio) to Trapani (from 02 July), and Alghero to Rome (Ciampino) (from 01 August).

Jersey to Paris flights with flybe

flybe will begin flying from Jersey to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) this summer, with flights beginning at the end of April 2008. They will also launch flights from Isle of Man to Jersey via Newquay on 24 May. These new routes are available to book now at www.flybe.com.

Niki flights from Vienna to Stockholm

Niki will begin flying from Vienna to Stockholm (Arlanda) this summer. They will fly 6 times per week on this route from 01 May 2008.

New Volareweb routes from Milan

Volareweb have 15 new routes launching over the next few months from their Milan (Malpensa) base. These include flights launching in April 2008 to Athens, Brindisi, Krakow, Malaga, Malta, Lamezia-Terme, Paris (Orly), Valencia and Warsaw. From July they will also add flights to Heraklion, Ibiza, Olbia, Palma and Rhodos.

Ibiza expansion for Vueling

Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will launch a number of flights to Ibiza from the end of April. On 25 April 2008 they launch flights from Madrid to Ibiza. On 30 May they will begin flying from Ibiza to Bilbao, Milan (Malpensa), Seville, Valencia and Paris (Charles de Gaulle). They will also launch flights from Ibiza to Alicante on 13 June. All of these can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

Meridiana summer flights

Meridiana have a number of new routes launching for the summer season, including some operated by their partner, EuroFly. From June 2008, they will launch flights from Cagliari to Milan (Malpensa), Florence to Olbia, Lamezia-Terme to Verona (Villafranca), Mykonos to Milan (Malpensa) and Verona (Villafranca) and Santorini to Milan (Malpensa). These are available to book now at www.meridiana.it.

Cardiff to Barcelona flights with bmibaby

bmibaby have put flights on sale from Cardiff to Barcelona. They will fly twice per week on this route from 27 May 2008. Flights can be booked now at www.bmibaby.com.

Dundee becomes a new flybe destination

flybe are to offer flights from the Scottish city of Dundee using their new franchise agreement with Loganair. The flights, from Dundee to Birmingham and Belfast (City) will begin from 21 May 2008. Tickets are available to book now at www.flybe.com.

Warsaw and Poznan expansion for Centralwings

centralwings have put new routes on sale from their Warsaw and Poznan bases. This includes flights from Warsaw to Catania, Faro, Heraklion, Rhodos, Thessaloniki and Varna, and from Poznan to Palma and Rhodos. These flights will operate during the summer 08 season, and are available to book now at www.centralwings.com.

Transavia to launch link between Madeira and Paris

Transavia will launch weekly flights from their Paris (Orly) base to Funchal. This route will begin on 21 April 2008, and flights are available to book now at www.transavia.com.

Brussels to Sofia with Wizz Air

Wizz Air will expand their operation from the Bulgarian capital Sofia by launching a new route to Brussels (Charleroi). They will begin flying on this route from 24 July 2008.

Three new easyJet routes from Milan

easyJet have put three new routes on sale from their Milan (Malpensa) base. In June 2008 they will begin flying from Milan (Malpensa) to Brussels (International), Palma and Mykonos.

Ryanair to open 27th base at Edinburgh

Ryanair will make Edinburgh their 27th base this year. They will add twice weekly flights from Edinburgh to Weeze from June 2008. In September, they will also launch flights to Billund, Berlin (Schoenefeld), Bournemouth, Bratislava, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Palma, Stockholm (Skavsta) and Wroclaw.
