Air Berlin to acquire Condor

It has been announced that major tour operator Thomas Cook is to offload their low-cost arm - Condor - to Air Berlin. The merger will see Air Berlin obtain the 35 aircraft currently operated by Condor. The deal will see Thomas Cook receive shares in Air Berlin worth as much as €475M.
