WindJet to begin flying to Rostov

Italian low-cost airline WindJet is to begin flying to the Russian city of Rostov. They will fly to Rostov from their Bologna (Forli) base. Flights are due to commence in either June or July 2007, although it is not entirely clear if there is an exact launch date.

Summer services from gotlandsflyg

gotlandsflyg will operate four new routes this summer from Visby, on the Swedish island of Gotland. They will launch flights from Visby to Oslo (International), Helsinki, Gothenburg (Landvetter) and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel). The flight dates vary but will operate between June and September 2007.

Air Berlin flights to Lamezia-Terme

Air Berlin have put some new flights on sale, some with immediate effect, to the Italian city of Lamezia-Terme. These include routes from Cologne-Bonn, Friedrichshafen, Dresden and Hamburg (Fuhlsbuettel). These flights are on sale at www.airberlin.com.

Barcelona to Malta with Clickair

Low-cost airline clickair continues their expansion at Barcelona with the announcement that they will begin flying from Barcelona to Malta. Flights will begin on 04 June 2007.

Germanwings winter 2007 schedule on sale

Germanwings have put parts of their winter 2007 flight schedule on sale. This includes, amongst others, new routes from Stuttgart to Belgrade and Kavala, and from Dortmund to Split, Zagreb and Munich.

Durham to Lanzarote with FlyGlobespan

FlyGlobespan will begin flying from their Durham Tees Valley base to Arrecife this winter. They will begin flying weekly from 04 November 2007.

7 new Ryanair routes from Bremen

Ryanair have announced that they will add seven new routes from their Bremen base. From 05 June 2007 they will begin flying from Bremen to Stockholm (Skavsta). From 25 September they will also add flights to Trapani, Alghero, Milan (Orio al Serio), Bratislava, Paris (Beauvais) and Malta.

Transavia to open Paris base

Transavia will begin flying from Paris (Orly) this summer. They will begin flying routes from 12 May 2007 (to Oporto), with further expansion during the summer to include flights to Catania, Palermo, Girona, Agadir, OUJ and Heraklion. Flights can be booked now at www.transavia.com.

Norwegian Air Shuttle to acquire flynordic

Norwegian Air Shuttle has announced their intention to acquire competing Scandinavian low-cost airline flynordic. They claim that flynordic, currently a subsidiary of the Finnish flag carrier Finnair, will continue to be operated as a separate brand.

New flights to Valencia with Clickair

clickair will begin flying from their Barcelona base to Valencia. They will begin flying three times per week on this route from 15 May 2007.

New Ryanair flights from Stockholm

Ryanair will begin new flights from Stockholm (Skavsta) this May. From 07 May 2007 they will begin flying from Stockholm (Skavsta) to Marseille and from 23 May they will fly from Stockholm (Skavsta) to Alghero and Venice (Treviso).

Paris to Malaga with Vueling

Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will begin flying from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Malaga. The flights, which begin on 21 June 2007, can be booked now at www.vueling.com.

New flights form Ancona for Evolavia

Evolavia will launch four new flights this summer season from their Ancona base. They will offer flights from Ancona to Barcelona, Valencia, Budapest and Catania, with flights beginning at the start of June 2007.

Rotterdam to Gran Canaria with Transavia

Transavia have put a new route on sale from Rotterdam to Las Palmas. They will begin flying weekly from 25 April 2007. Flights can be booked at www.transavia.com.

Four new Ryanair routes from Bournemouth and Frankfurt

Ryanair will begin flying four new routes from their Bournemouth and Frankfurt (Hahn) bases. From 07 May 2007 they will begin flying from Bournemouth to Marseille, and from Frankfurt (Hahn) to Marrakech, Fez and Faro. These new flights are on sale now.

SkyEurope to fly to Bourgas from Krakow

Central European low-cost airline Sky Europe will begin flying from their Krakow base to Bourgas in Bulgaria. They will begin flying twice per week from 07 July 2007.

Transatlantic low-cost flights for Ryanair?

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has unveiled that Ryanair, or a subsidiary airline, intends to begin operating transatlantic flights within the next 3 to 4 years. Using a fleet of aircraft that are larger than those currently operated by Ryanair, they intend to fly up to 50 planes to airports in North America. O’Leary expects that they will sell tickets from as little as £7.

Summer Italian routes with MyAir

MyAir will launch a number of new routes during June and July 2007. These will include flights from:

• Milan (Malpensa) to Marrakech, Palma and Catania
• Milan (Orio al Serio) to Lampedusa and Santorini
• Bucharest (Baneasa) to Paris (Charles de Gaulle)
• Venice (Marco Polo) to Olbia and Cagliari

Thomsonfly will operate a number of new summer routes from the beginning of May 2007. The new flights include:

• Bournemouth to Pisa and Valencia
• Cardiff to Barcelona and Faro
• London (Gatwick) to Corfu and Mahon
• London (Luton) to Corfu
• Manchester to Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mahon and Venice (Marco Polo)
• East Midlands to Ibiza and Mahon

Ryanair to restart flights between London and Brussels

Ryanair will reinstate flights between London (Stansted) and Brussels (Charleroi). Flights to Brussels (Charleroi) were withdrawn after a dispute over airport charges, but will be restarted from 01 June 2007.

Manchester to Murcia with Monarch

Monarch Scheduled will begin flying five times per week between Murcia and Manchester. Although this route will not begin until 08 February 2007, flights are on sale now.

Centralwings to fly from Poznan

centralwings will begin flights from Poznan to Rhodos. They will begin flying weekly on this route from 27 May 2007. Flights can be booked now at www.centralwings.com.

Summer flights to Reykjavik

Iceland Express will operate a number of routes to their Reykjavik base this summer, as they did last year. These include three new routes from Stockholm (Arlanda), Gothenburg (Landvetter) and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

Basel flights to Olbia with easyJet

easyJet will begin flights from their Basel base to Olbia. They will fly this route six times per week from 29 June 2007.

Malaga to Santiago link with Vueling

Vueling will begin flying between Malaga and Santiago de Compostela. They will fly three times per week on this route from 24 May 2007. Flights can be booked at www.vueling.com.

Summer flights to Ibiza with bmibaby

bmibaby will begin summer flights to Ibiza from their East Midlands and Cardiff hubs. These new flights will begin on 30 June and 16 July 2007 respectively. Tickets are currently available to book on these new routes at www.bmibaby.com.

easyJet add flights from Bristol to Warsaw

easyJet will continue to expand their operation from their Bristol hub by adding a new route to Warsaw. They will begin flying this route three times per week from October 2007.
