FlyMe filed for bankruptcy
FlyMe, the Swedish low-cost airline, announced on Friday 02 March 2007 that they would file for bankruptcy. FlyMe aircraft are grounded and the airline has suspended both ticket sales and flights.
As expected, this has left passengers stranded across Europe. Scandinavian low-cost airline Sterling has offered to rescue stranded passengers for free, and to offer discounted replacement tickets to those who have not yet commenced flying. More information is available at www.sterlingticket.com.
