Air Scotland to rebrand as topjetair
Air Scotland - the low-cost airline which was intended to be the Scottish flag carrier is to be renamed.
It has been speculated that one of the reasons for the name change is to help offset the reputation that the airline has recently obtained for heavily delayed and cancelled flights.
Last year, Air Scotland was acquired by Spanish hotel chain H-Top Hotels, and has since begun flying from English airports, as well as Scottish ones. The parent company says that the new name - topjetair - will give the airline a “more international flair”.
