Rapid Wizz Air expansion
The new central-European startup, Wizz Air, have today announced yet more new routes all over Europe. They have expanded from Budapest, to make it a base, adding new routes to Athens, Rome (Ciampino), Girona, Paris (Beauvais), Prague and London (Luton). All of these routes begin on 24 June 2004.
They have also expanded their main base at Katowice, to include new routes to Athens, Stockholm (Skavsta), Dortmund, Paris (Beauvais), Venice and Munich. These routes will begin from 01 July 2004.
Mysteriously, their previously announced (and already on sale) route from Katowice to Berlin (Schoenefeld) has disappeared from their site.

Umeaflyg will start
It was previously believed that Umeaflyg were not going to begin their planned operation from Umea to Stockholm (Arlanda), however it now seems flights are due to take off at the beginning of May, despite pre-existing heavy competition on the route.
Additional new bexx route
In addition to the new bexx air route to Niederrhein from Bourgas, they will also begin flights from Bourgas to Zweibrucken (Germany), where they will offer an onward coach service to a number of cities.

New bexx air route
bexx air have announced a new route from Niederrhein to the Bulgarian city of Bourgas. Flights begin on 15 July 2004.
New Volareweb routes to Poland
Volareweb have announced that they are to begin flying to Poland from June 2004. They will code-share their flights with Air Polonia. The routes include Warsaw to Milan (Malpensa), Venice and Rome (Fiumicino). In addition, they will fly from Rome (Fiumicino) to Krakow, adding Krakow to the budget airline map of Europe!

V-Bird new routes from Niederrhein
In May, V-Bird will begin flying from Niederrhein to Alicante and Rhodos. Flights will only be once per week to each destination though.

New Wizz Air routes Budapest and Venice
Continuing to expand their base at Katowice, Wizz Air have announced new routes to Venice (Treviso) and Budapest. Both routes begin on 01 July.

New easyJet routes from East Midlands
easyJet have today announced new routes from East Midlands airport to Rome (Ciampino) and Cologne-Bonn. They start flying on these routes from 6 June.

New Warsaw – Rome route
Today, Air Polonia announced a new route (their first to Italy), beginning 1 June, from their base in Warsaw to Rome (Fiumicino).

New Zurich routes
2 new routes from Zurich have been announced, including one by Germania Express to Malaga (starting 24 April) and one by Air Berlin to Hanover (starting 3 May).
New eVolavia to Athens
eVolavia, the ‘virtual’ airline, based in Ancona airport will start a new flight to Athens on 11 July.

Duo announces new routes
From 1 June Duo will begin flying from Birmingham to Shannon and Pisa. In addition they will begin flying from Edinburgh to Shannon and Bordeaux.

The search interface has been redesigned after many users reported it difficult to use. As before it still allows you to search country – country, country – city or city – city.

Norwegian have announced a new route, beginning mid-June, from Oslo to Split.
New Italian routes
InterSky will begin a new route from Zurich to Elba.
Meanwhile Meridiana have started new Italian routes between Olbia, Catania, Florence, Lampedusa and Palermo.
