Facts about flybe
Formerly British European, the company became a low-cost airline, flybe, in July 2002.
flybe have a number of bases across the UK and Ireland and offer domestic flights and routes to mainland Europe.
In December 2005, flybe announced that they were to become the first low-cost airline to charge passengers for hold luggage.
